The Mooslands of Work Damn you Work (WDYW) in a nation of highly preserved environment.

History

The Moose lands of Work Damn you work were originally founded by a group of travelling cattle merchants. When they applied at the UN country naming office, all the names they tried errored out. Finally they tried "Work Damn you Work" and it passed. Over the years the country has had a number of names, most of which situated around their primary export, cattle. Recently however, a scourge of mad blackleg disease (MBD) brought but a contaminate Wonderfully Magnificent Desert (WMD) kill off most of the herd.

Due to the countries vast swamps in the north there is a healthy population of moose. Due to increasing war in other regions moose have been moving into WDYW at an alarming rate. This has lead to a migration south.

Noticing this the Cattle Merchants have decided to switch to moose farming instead. In October 2006 their was a huge uproar that our country was memorising such a terrible event as the MBD incident by keeping our previous name. They held the government hostage until they change the country to a name to matched its new primary export. The Moose Lands were born.

Later a comity of WDYW's most important political, scientific, and economic people gathered to decide on how to deal with the increased inflation due to the shortage of cattle skulls from the incineration of diseased cows. It was voted that since there was an excess of Moose Antlers, the currency should be changed.

The country has been a member of many regional organisations in the past. It was a founding member of the Federation of Rhova until President Rhova went insane and pulled his nation out of the organisation, followed by most of the others. Then they joined the UCF and successfully participated in several military conquests. However, a long drawn out war in the 11th circle of hell lead to the dissolution of the region. Then WDYW joined the United Region of Friends where they a powerful force, its leader is the organisations Minister of Transport and the Environment. What is next for WDYW? Only time will tell.
