Federal Government
The federal government of Sim city 5000 is Inoffensive Centrist Democracy. The president has no power. He is only there to to make sure politics are in order and all laws are voted in the Congress. The federal governments supreme court decides on all lawsuits. The federal Government also goes through elections. The federal government issues election day on either January 17 or November 20. This is when new Mayors and Governers are elected. One with the most votes steps up to be new mayor or governer.
Provincial Government
Most of the governers will have laws passed down and if the they cannot choose whether to make it a law, the citizens of the provincal government will vote to see if they should have this law passed in or not.
Local government
Mostly the mayors do local budget, local taxes, and city planning. The mayors of most towns will pass through laws from the government.
Justice
"The criminal justice system represents people by there own groups, the police investigate the crimes, and the district attornies prosecute those who are offenders." District attornies are elected every 5 years. He/She will run with the Executive asistant attorny.
Law Enforcement
Each town and city has its own police department and one for each province overall. The crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare.
History
In 1389 the dutch settled on The Northern shores of present day Sim city province. The Spanish had settled and ruled the Southern shores of present day Ralston and New Kingston. Both colonies never knew that they were settled right next to each other until a group of dutch explorers looked and found the spanish colony. Then war had broken and and lasted for 2 years. The war ended on the date of August 21, 1391. The dutch had won this war and taken over the land. By this time they had named there nation New Holland. By the date of May 17, 1489 the english (american) had came and defeated the dutch and renamed the Nation to Sim City 5000. By this time Sim city 5000 started booming in population and the land was expanding. The First president was Dennis Gomez. He had became president in 1890. There were 3 presidents in Sim city 5000's history. They had mappped out the area and broken down Sim city 5000 into 3 provinces, Sim city province, New Kingston, and Ralston. The Second president was Joseph Zupko and had come in around 1943. Dennis Gomez had passed away in his 70's so Joseph Zupko stepped up. Joseph Zupko has died in 1985. He had died in his 40's because he had become very ill. By 1995 President Cody Hewitt had became President and is still President. The year is 2006 and the economy of Sim city 5000 is very good and its largest city is Genesis. Sim City 5000 is still growing at a fast pase and will keep growing through the future.
Culture
Culture in Sim City 5000 is very american with Cities and diversity. The people in Sim City province tend to act like they know it all but most of the country is very american and very modern. All the people are very kind and friendly and Crime Free. Sim city province is the most urban area of Sim city 5000 and New Kingston is mostly urban but some what rural. Ralston is mostly rural with farm communitys and tiny towns.
Economy
The economy is based mainly on a mixture of agriculture and heavy industry. The industry is always producing cars, trucks, housing products, etc. A large number of major corporations have there main offices in Sim city province. A smaller but very important part of the economy is agriculture. The city gets money from taxes and they use this money to make to improve infrastructure.
