The Draiygen people are one of the most Fraternally minded people on the Planet. Draiygen has one of the Highest numbers of Freemasons in the world amongst its season. It would be inconcivable for a township as small as 5,000 people not to have a masonic lodge Their are 50 provincial Grand Lodges and a Federated Grand Lodge that covers Masonic Issues on a national level. The Shrine and the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite both hold strong membership numbers. Draiygen also has strong compnents of Elks, Lions, and other adult Fraternal organizations. Preparations for Noruz begin in Esfand, the last month of winter in the Persian solar calendar. Persians, Afghans and other groups start preparing for the Norouz with a major spring-cleaning of their houses, the purchase of new clothes to wear for the new year and the purchase of flowers (in particular the hyacinth and the tulip are popular and conspicuous).

In association with the "rebirth of nature", extensive spring-cleaning is a national tradition observed by almost every household in Persia. This is also extended to personal attire, and it is customary to buy at least one set of new clothes. On the New Year's day, families dress in their new clothes and start the twelve-day celebrations by visiting the elders of their family, then the rest of their family and finally their friends. On the thirteenth day families leave their homes and picnic outdoors.

During the Nowruz holidays people are expected to visit one another (mostly limited to families, friends and neighbours) in the form of short house visits, which are usually reciprocated. Typically, on the first day of Nowruz, family members gather around the table, with the Haft Seen on the table or set next to it, and await the exact moment of the arrival of the spring. At that time gifts are exchanged. Later in the day, the first house visits are paid to the most senior family members. Typically, the youth will visit the elders first, and the elders return their visit later. The visits naturally have to be relatively short, otherwise one will not be able to visit everybody on their list. A typical visit is around 30 minutes, where you often run into other visiting relatives and friends who happen to be paying a visit to the same house at that time. Because of the house visits, you make sure you have a sufficient supply of pastry, cookies, fresh and dried fruits and special nuts on hand, as you typically serve your visitors with these items with tea or sherbet. Many Iranians will throw large Nowruz parties in a central location as a way of dealing with the long distances between groups of friends and family.

Some Norouz celebrants believe that whatever a person does on Norouz will affect the rest of the year. So, if a person is warm and kind to their relatives, friends and neighbors on Nowruz, then the new year will be a good one. On the other hand, if there are fights and disagreements, the year will be a bad one.

One tradition that is not be very widespread is to place something sweet, such as honey or candy, in a safe place outside overnight. On the first morning of the new year, the first person up brings the sweet stuff into the house as another means of attaining a good new year. It is one of the few ‘peoples celebrations’ that has survived and predates all the major religious festivals. And is believed to go back into the Babylonian Era.

With this festival celebrants gather into the fairgrounds mostly outside the cities to welcome spring. Women wear gaily colored dresses and spangled head scarves and young men wave flags of green, yellow and red. By lighting fire and dancing around it they hold this festival The greetings that accompany the festival are Newroz píroz be! meaning Happy Newroz! or Bijí Newroz! meaning Long live Newroz!

The History of Draiygen is divided into several periods.

The Freeland Period

The Stark region which became Draiygen attracted many people who were outcasts from their own nation who signed and authored the Freeland Compact, the first albeit limited Governing Document of the Republic of Draiygen.

The Freeland of Draiygen was first forged by groups of Radical Anarchists, Extremist Libertarians, Motorcycle Gangs, and refugees. The Motley group of people were United by some common core values which have formed the core of the Draiygenian Psyche. The Value of Work was held high, to the point the people have to date been skeptical of the Social-Welfare system that has been born in other nations. But while they do view a strong ethos of personal responsibility this has born a social progressivism based around individual Merit.

The Corporate Period

While the Social Ethos and spirit of the Anarchic Period of Draiygen was able to last briefly. The Powerful economic Engine of Draiygen began through alliances with the groups with an ability to enforce order such as Motorcycle Gangs and Private militias and began to form the first government. This government was very small and most services were provided by the companies based on a vote of the people. The Government at the time did not even have a Written Constitution, but acted with authority from a "General Law" Passed by the Provisional Parliament of Draiygen This rule however was Brief as the Leadership of the Presidency was moved into the hands of First President Larry Bernard.

Executive Branch

President

The Government of Draiygen is lead by a President. Currently the Constitution has Granted to the father of the Republic Larry Bernard the title of First President. On Paper the President has little power but due to the early stages of the Draiygen State Larry Bernard can influence a wide range of Legislative Items. The President can Dismiss or Veto Legislative Items. In consultation with other executive officers he is responsible for presenting the national budget priorities to the Parliament for its approval. He also is the Chief of State and the Commander and Chief of the Draiygen Military. The President appoints the The Foreign Minister, Generals, Admirals, Ambassadors, and The Defense Minister as well by mutually agreed upon Constitutional Interpretation. In the Event of a vote of no-confidence the President dissolves Parliament and holds the Powers of both the President and Prime Minister until the end of the Election.

The President is elected for a 6 Year term and may be elected for at least another term.

Chancellor

The Chancellor is appointed by the President from the party or parties that have the majority in both houses of Parliament. Though the Chancellor is always appointed from the Lower House. He serves primarily as a manager of the Executive Branch of the Government. The Chancellor appoints any executive agency heads and ministers not appointed by the President and serves until a successful vote of No Confidence is held to remove his government.

Vice President

An Honorary Position who in the event of death, resignation, or removal of office of the President assumes the office until a special election can be held.

Legislative Branch

The Legislature of Draiygen is Bicameral in nature

The Senate

The Senate was Originally 100 members, but recently was expanded to 250 Members. The Senators are elected from their Provinces every 6 Years and may only be elected to one additional term. The Senate is the body of origin for any Foreign Policy, Military Policy, National Security Policy, or Intelligence Policy that passes through the Legislature. They are elected from Districts in their Provinces.

The Chamber of Deputies

The Lower House holds 1000 Delegates and is the body of origin on Fiscal Policy, Trade Policy,Tax Policy, and Impeachment Proceedings from the Legislative Branch. The members of the Chamber of Deputies are elected to a 4 year term and may only hold office for 3 terms. The Deputies are elected based on percentage of the popular votes they hold in each Province.

Judiciary

A 12 Person Supreme court is the Highest Judicial Body in Draiygen. Initially its members served by Presidential appointment. They now are an elected body, with retaining judges being the vote after one takes office.

The Supreme Court approves appointments of lower Federal Judges and can by a 2/3rds vote refer a suspected criminal action by a member of the Government to the Public Sector.

The Public Sector

The Public Sector is divided into the following two officers.

The Ombudsman of Draiygen

The Ombudsman is elected every 5 years for a maximum of 15. He may investigate legislation and its impact on the people and Veto it. After a public investigation he may remove any government officer pending an impeachment vote. He is a non Partisan officer and his actions are designed to prevent the specter of dictatorship.

The Public Prosecutors Office

The Public Prosecutor is elected by all the Judges and Lawyers of Draiygen. His office is designed to free the state prosecution process from any hint of corruption. The Public Prosecutor may begin Impeachment proceedings with the approval of the Supreme Court.

Other Constitutional features

Draiygen also has citizen initiatives which can be started by Private Citizens, The Legislature, The President, or the Ombudsman. Al Initiatives unless they modify the constitution require a simple majority vote.

In the event they are used to modify the constitution to take something away a 75% vote must be achieved. If they are adding something to the constitution which does not limit or take away from it then the voters only need to achieve a 66% vote.

Northern Draiygen Shores is a stark region known for its large dams and man made lakes. It forms the border with the Republic of Gator Land.

Capitolinae

One of the 7 Provinces found in the Greater Draiygen City metropolitan area. Capitolinae is where the elected officals, and senior management of executive departments are known to have their "suburban" homes.

East Esquilinae

Once the Agricultural Commune Center for the Capital the Area has formed a Exurb/Suburb mixture near the Capital. It is most known now for Wine and other luxury agricultural goods.

West Esquillinae

This area forms a suburban home for the elite of the Buisness community of Drayigen. Much of what was once fruit groves are now home to expensive mansions and developments were senior managers live.

Viminalae

Forms a bridge between Hyborea City and Draiygen City. The suburb is a mixture of the city cultures of both. It is where many of the top lawyers in the country live as well as the place where Supreme Court Justices go to just get away.

Draiygen holds 9 Major Cities which hold their own Provincial Status due to their Size. City Designation is given to any town with a population in excess of 100,000 People. A city elects a city council of up to 10 members and a mayor. In the event the City is given an offical provincial designation it may elect a city council of up to 100 members.

The Mayor is elected to a 2 year term of office and may hold no more then 6 terms as mayor.

Federal District of Draiygen City

The National Capital from the Founding of the Modern Constitutional System has been its own Territory. The Population is Approximately 9 million and growing every Day.

Marshalham holds a population of roughly one and a half million in its city limits. Marshalham was the center of distribution as farmers sold their goods and they were distrusted to other parts of the country. This history makes Marshalham the home of the Draiygen Commodity Exchange, where Golden Fiats fly as they are traded on a variety of goods.

The Military

Any Citizen from the Age of 17 (With Parental Permission) to the age of 50 May Serve in the Regular Military. (The Upper Age Limits for Senior Command Personnel is 65). Any Citizen from the Age of 17(with Parental Permission) to the Age of 70 (with Medical clearance) May Serve in the National Guard/Air Guard/ Or Coast Guard

Organization

The President of Draiygen Serves as the Commander and Chief, his orders go to the Defense Minister and then to the Marshal of the Draiygen Military.

The Military of Draiygen is organized into the following Branches Under the General Command Office headed by the Marshal of the Draiygen Military:
