Stheneliades is a medium sized nation bordering the much larger nation of Dunnatia to the west, and it's brother nation Gaian Falls to the east. Gaian Falls is one of Stheneliades' biggest trading partners and the two nations are co-founders of the WSA (Waffle Shirt Alliance) which is an alliance that has harnessed the power of Captain Waffle who is supposed to defend the region of Pye from the evil pancake overlord located somewhere in The Great Wastes. To the north is the nation of Empress Emily, which has been known to have imperial intentions and has tried invading some of it's smaller neighbors. To the south is the nation of Wikipolitics which for the past several hundred years has had it's goverment overthrown almost daily, making it a very unstable nation.

History
Stheneliades has a past as a neutral nation due to it's Swiss heritage but mostly because niether side is right and they are just being stupid, so Stheneliades tries to stop these conflicts without picking sides.
Early Colonization
The land where Stheneliades now resides was originally settled by the Swiss who were very fond of the high mountains to the east, which at the time served them no purpose to them. The temperatures in the area are fairly mild and being from a cold envirment to begin with they knew to bring warm clothing for the colder month's.
The 2nd Colonization
The actual nation of Stheneliades was founded in 432 B.C. when the a war hungry king from the far away nation of Sparta came to conquer native people of the region. Soon after his arrival the native people killed Stheneliades and decided to name the lans where founded nation after the delicious man that tried to rule them.
Culture
Stheneliades is too cool for our own culture, so they steal other peoples cultures and make them better.
Name
The formal name for a citizen of Stheneliades is Stheneliaden, but they are more commonly known as "the people from that country" (points at map) because people can't say Stheneliades.
Geography
Terrain
The western side of the country is pretty flat with an occasional hill, and to the east is a fairly large mountain range.
Climate
It's cold in the winter and warm in the summer because I said so, and if you disagree we'll convince you otherwise.
Relations
Stheneliades has a closed borders policy because interacting with most nations on Pye may actually lower your I.Q. or just make you want to kill yourself from the pure stupidity of what was just said.
