The Democratic Republic of Sunteria is a large, dominantly leftist nation located in the southern Aequitas region. In the governent the Chancellor is the highest elected official, paralleling the US President, or British Prime Minister. He is elected to three year terms by popular vote; a maximum of three terms. The higher government is divided into three branches: Judiciary, Legislative, and Executive Cabinet. The Judiciary Branch consists of court systems. The Legislative drafts and passes laws, and is tricameral. The Executive Cabinet consists of eleven Heads, divided into those who deal with decisions within the country, and outside situations. Cabinet members addressed as " Advisor of ": Agriculture, Commerce, Defense, Energy, Human Services, Labor, State, Security, Transportation, Treasury, Condition ( "Advisor of Condition AKA Senior Advisor" ). The External Cabinets are: Commerce, Defense, State. The Internal Cabinets are: Agriculture, Energy, Human Services, Labor, Security, Transportation, Treasury. The Advisor of Condition has no cabinet beneath him, unlike the other advisors. He is the second highest official in the nation.
Sunteria is home to many of the world's most prestigious universities which are sought after by students around the globe. Some of the finer universities are: Rothgard University of North Sunteria, William R. Granzig School of Engineering, Dumand College of Commerce, and Dighton University.
