The ITV Regional Republic of TSW (originally known as The Free Land of TSW) was founded on the 14th June 2004, from the remains of the television channel that served the South West of England from January 1982 to December 1992. It was created after King William noticed the large uninhabited patches of countryside that surrounded his other nations, and felt that they needed to be utilised. TSW's national anthem is the modern sounding startup tune "That's Soul, Write!" (which is also the nation's motto) and the capital city is named after Gus Honeybun, a birthday reading breed of rabbit which is also the nation's national animal. The letters stand for Television South West.

TSW originally resided in the region of Devon, but when that was hijacked it emigrated to its current one.

National Holidays

  • 1st January - Anniversary of TSW beginning broadcasting (Day of Celebration)
  • 24th September - Leader's Birthday (Day of Celebration)
  • 31st December - Anniversary of TSW broadcasting for final time (Day of Mourning)

The Day of Mourning wasn't originally a national holiday as it was considered inappropriate to put this on New Years Eve, but was added as a Day of Celebration followed immediately after, boosting the morale of the population for another year.
