History

The Most Serene Republic of The Aes Sedai was the fourth break away nation of Eternia. It was founded by a group of Aes-Sedai witches, the Council of Aes Sedai, who elect a new leader, the Amyrlin Seat, whenever the last one dies, or is forced to stand down by the Council of Aes Sedai, which has never happened. Despite being new as an independent country, the society of Aes Sedai have existed for centuries, since before history can be remembered.

The Ajah are sects within the Aes Sedai. Each group has a specific philosophy, and when an apprentice ascends to the level of full sister, she can choose her Ajah.

Economy

The Aes Sedai live in an intellectual communist economy.

Electrical Economy

The government provides electricity to those who need it through the use of wind and solar power exclusively; however most of the country still feels that electricity is unholy and blasphemous, so average use is about 4 Watts/capita (~1 in 5,000 use electricity) or ~2.35 GW total. Yearly energy consumption is over 20 TWh.

Law Enforcement

Crime is totally unknown, despite the lack of a police force, because the populace is all working towards the same goal and have come to the Aes Sedai by choice.

Military

There is no military within the Aes Sedia. Tar Valon must rely on it's allies, the Liberal Men and Women, the Daes Dae-Mar, and Neo-Rus for defense.
