Thelgond has led a rich, intriguing history, and has gone through many powerful and deeply felt politcal changes through the course of it's existance. A largely secular located in Athar, it shares a border with Suliath, an Atharian nation that seceded from in times past as a result of Thelgond's growing secularity, industrialism, imperialism, and warmongering. After centuries of enjoying a fairly libertarian federal republic, this past hundred years saw the growing centralization of power and socialization, culminating in a military coup placing the country's current leader, Autarch Sitikant Kelius, in a postion of absolute power, and effectively creating a dictactorship.
