Trio is a commercial English-language broadcaster in Pacitalia. It broadcasts to nearly all Pacitalians through terrestrial and cable/satellite provision. However, the Equal Playing Field Report of 2006, by the Broadcast Standards and Operations Commission, resulted in the Pacitalian Television Network's halving into Network Two and Trio, with the former getting most of the high-rating programming and nearly all of the news and production staff. Because of this, Trio has had to start fresh, and while company executives see this as a positive thing, finicky Pacitalian viewers are more than likely to once again drop the network because of its attempt to re-energise the 18-34 demographic broadcasting style. Still, thanks to its one-time membership in the PTN network family, it is available in many foreign markets just like its main competitors, and its focus on sport as one of its major themes has also helped it in many primetime ratings wars.
