This article details each country's system of suffrage. For nations which have established universal adult suffrage (defined as the right for adult citizens of all genders and backgrounds to vote, with possible common exceptions such as criminals and the mentally handicapped), the first list indicates the year universal suffrage was established.

Countries possessing universal adult suffrage

Nation Year Universal suffrage established by... Legal voting age today
Ariddia 1919 ...extending the suffrage to women, aged 26 or above, and abolishing all wealth requirements for suffrage. In 1937, the voting age for women was lowered to 21, the same age as for men at that time. Note that, in pre-colonial times, decisions were taken communally by all persons who had reached puberty. In that sense, universal suffrage may be as old as c.1,000 BC. 16
Ariddian Arctic Islands 1709 ...granting citizens the right to elect members of the Council of Chiefs in formal elections. Under pressure from Rêvane, only women aged 40 or above were allowed to vote. Gender equality was achieved in 1876. 16
ESAT 2115 ...proclaiming sovereignty and establishing a political system. 16
North-West Ariddia 2021 ...proclaiming sovereignty. Universal suffrage had existed since 1919, and was maintained when NWA became independent from West Ariddia. 16
San Adriano 1644 ...extending suffrage to adult white women. Previously, due to a particularity of the country's bicultural history, only black men, white men and black women could vote. 17
Snǿĵgẻrd 1784 ...proclaiming the country's sovereignty and defining an official political system. In practice, all decisions had been taken communally for thousands of years. 18
West Ariddia 2012 ...proclaiming sovereignty. Universal suffrage had existed on the island of Limea since 1919, and was maintained when the island became sovereign West Ariddia. 16
Zwangzug c. 1966 ...establishing a nationwide system of government. Note, however, that this right is only guaranteed in federal elections; representation in Parliament is usually established by vote, but a few districts have an almost-hereditary system. 16
