History
First Beginnings
It is believed that the first nanish sailed here from the island in Melcelene. The nanish didn’t find the land they discovered to be suitable. So they continued northwest across the Egion River to where modern day Viscosity is. They found the area suitable and decided to settle there. The city was known as Viscosity. The 100 inhabitances decided to put Adonis Revahood in charge of the new settlement. Viscosity was a nice place to live. About 20 years after its creation, it had 560 citizens. It rained enough to have a very good irrigation system, and the soil was rich for farming. Nashban gained an oddly excellent skill in Archery, which allowed them to hunt, and they were very successful. They hunted bear, deer, boar, pig, and ox. They believed highly that they were alone in the world. Their homes were round, which straw roofs. Inside, there would be a dirt floor, maybe a stump to sit on, and a bed made from leaves. They weren’t exactly luxury housing. About 50 years after the city’s formation, it had a population of 6,000. It was growing profusely. This was the time where apartments were constructed. The apartment complexes were much more luxurious then the homes of 30 years ago. They would have a table with a few chairs, one large bed made of a rectangle which was made with clay, it was covered in animal fur to make it comfortable, it would have a blanket and pillows. Some of the richer families would have fire places. Even the richer families didn’t have bathrooms in their own apartments. In every apartment there would be a public bath. It would be one huge bath, which the water was replaced daily. There would be seats with holes in them that would serve as toilets. The despot at the time, Frederin Dwarn wanted to build two more cities. One at the egion river, and the other at what they call, the great wood. This would be the beginning of the end.
Age of Expansion
In 600 B.C. Nashban was vast. It expanded on the west side of the Egion River, Lake Glorious, and The Jonnin River, to the mountains. The Resources Nashban was gaining seemed unending. It was a beautiful time in Nashban. National trade was on a increase and it seemed that Nashban was invincible. Viscosity was a metropolis. It had a population of 564,000 and it was growing faster and faster. The food supply was still very good. Nashban was sending settlers out even more and more to find new lands and colonize them. Although, what was about to happen would be a shock all of Nashban.
Medaes Eirdaerysti
The Nanish were now growing, but they found something else. People that didn’t belong to Nashban. The Nanish settlers spoke to the new people. They returned and went to the Despot in Viscosity. These new people called themselves “The Medaes Eirdaerysti”. The Despot was not pleased to find out his age of expansion was haulted by these new people. He wanted to speak with their leaders immediately. The Leader of Medaes Eirdaerysti, Baton Erion met with the Nanish Despot. They spoke with each other in tones that weren’t pleasing. What we then learned was the Nanish Despot actually insulted Medaes Eirdaerysti, and Baton Erion insulted Nashban. This lead to Baton Erion’s death. What they soon found out, Medaes Eirdaerysti had two leaders. So the government was still stable, even after his death.
Lake Death
After the death of Baton Erion, Medaes Eirdaerysti and Nashban were at war. Because their only land border was over the mountains, it was a sea war. The river was long enough to put one ship in the river, but not even for a battle. The main battleground was Lake Glorious. Nanish ships set sail to invade Medaes Eirdaerysti at once. What they weren’t counting on was Medaes Eirdaerysti's Navy. It was more powerfull then Nanish Generals suspected. When the Nanish and Medaes Eirdaerystish Navies met, it was one hell of battle. Almost every ship on both sides was destroyed. It was a 7 hour battle. Nashban sent 70 ships to destroy Medaes Eirdaerysti...20 Ships return. Medaes Eirdaerysti sent 80 ships, and 25 survived.
The Four Major Battles
The Medaes Eirdaerysti Army then didn't go over the Lake. They went over the south River. They easily marched to almost 10 miles from Viscosity. When the Nanish Army finally came to intercept them, the first of four major battles began. This particular battle lasted 23 minutes, where Nashban easily defeated Medaes Eirdaerysti. Then the Nanish Army got word of three more large armies coming over to Viscosity. Nashban didn't have enough troops to take all three armies in the field. One of the armies were close to Viscosity. So, General Mitcehl ordered his men back to Viscosity to hold out there. Fortunitly, the Nanish Armies of the north came faster and intercepted 2 of the armies. These two battles were extremely large and fierce. The second battle lasted 50 minutes, and the third lasted 1 hour. Thankfully, General Mitcehl ordered his men to Viscosity. The Fighting lasted about 1.5 hours. The Nanish forces survived, and were out-numbered 5-1. Because of the fortifications, Medaes Eirdaerysti didn't stand a chance.
Nashban defeats Medaes Eirdaerysti
Because Medaes Eirdaerysti's army was defeated, Nashban has supiority. So, they launched the offensive. It took only 3 hours to get to the Medaes Eirdaerysti Capital and take it. Soon after the rest of the country followed.
Age of Colonization
In the year 1642 A.D., nashban was growing and becoming powerful. The Government belieed that only the rich deserved to live on the Nanish homeland. So, they got word of other contidents around the world, so they decided to go. Nashban planned to plant 7 colonies.
The Four Colonies
Nashban only has 1 out of the four colonies in Operation today. Candover revolted from Nanish control, making all seven of Nashban's colonies disinigrate. Nashban's colonies never grew to be powerful, mainly because Nashban did not, and never did see the potential of colonies. Nashban more the less ignored her colonies.
Nashban's four colonies consisted of either prisoners or poor people. The first of Nashban's colonies was Marolos which was located on Modern Day Batzseckistan. The Second was Deamorian which was located on Modern Day Deamoro. The Third was Palosa which was located in MI 3. Last, but not least, is Candover which is located in the Candover Isle.
Marolos was founded by George Williams. The King of Nashban ordered George to go to the Millenium Islands and plant two things. Prisons for the prisoners and farms. 50% of all products of Marolos would be sent back to Nashban. Marolos survived for quite a while, till Nashban ignored it too much, which lead to its fall.
Deamorian was founded by the King to finally get rid of the religous activists. The King sent them on their way to a place where they could have relious freedom, and still be under the crown. Deamorian simply faided out, not many people know what actually lead to its downfall.
Palosa was strickly a farming colony. It produced 40% of all of Nashban's goods. It was founded by Roger Gray. Palosa was hit with great plaque with eventually destroyed the colony.
The most sucsessful colony was Candover. Its the only colony that still survives to this day. It was founded by Richard Marts, who was an extremely rich man that wanted a place for the poor to live happily. The King wasn't happy, and forbade many people from going to Candover. The King believed this would lead to its downfall, but it didn't. Going to Candover was almost a smuggling thing. The King completely ignored Candover. Canover learned how to produce goods, which is the only reason it never fell. Candover's population never grew. Mainly because no one was coming.
The 1800's known as the Terrific Era
In 1801, the Nanish King Marit Ronald was over thrown. A man named Calizon Rein came to power. He made 70% of Nashban's wealth go to him. This killed Nashban's economy, and destroyed the Nation's GDP. This was the only time to ties with Nashban and Candover almost broke. The Despot loved his wealth. He was the richest man in the world.
The Ronald family ruled Nashban until 1876. Things in Nashban grew so terrible that half the population was dieing from starvation. No one wore clothes, for the clothes were better then wood to burn for warmth. Much building material was put to the Ronalds. Soon a new man came to power. Richard Grimm. Only, he believed exactly what the Ronalds believed. Only, he made things much worse. In 1904, things came to an end. Trevor Yashmen took control. Which marked a new era.
The Era of Rebirth
In 1905, Trevor Yashmen took power...just not as a Despot. He took control as the first Prime Minister of Nashban. His wife, Alaysin Yashmen took power as Queen. Just she had basically no power. In 1905, Nashban was a third world country and it took 100 years before things returned to normal, and Nashban was, once again a stable, powerfull nation.
Federation of Aldaron
In 2007, Nashban came up with the idea of asking its border nations, and allies, Rebaltion and Millbrooksia to form together, and form The Federation of Aldaron. After about 3 weeks, The FOA was formed. Eventually the nation of Silver Star joined the FOA as well. The FOA has been in one conflict, and one cold war. To this day, no troops of FOA desent have been deployed.
The Nanish Government
Govenment Type
Nashban is a Constitutional Monarchy. It's head of state is a Prime Minister, and has a queen. And has 3 branches of Government.
Head of State
The Prime Minister is considered to be the Head of State. Nashban has had 25 Prime Ministers since 1905. The way a Prime Minister is elected, is the same way as other elections. The entire country elects the man or woman. Prime Ministers serve a four year term.
Queen or King
The Queen or King of Nashban is basically just a title. The Name comes with no politcal power over the nation. Although, the Queen or King usually represents Nashban in delegations.
