Regarding NationStates

There's already a Wikipedia link on that article - the {{wikipedia}} tag at the top takes care of that. --Goobergunch|? 03:16, 1 Dec 2004 (GMT)

ummm, yeah. Ditto what Goober said. I meant to drop you a note, but got distracted. → Fris Θtalk 04:43, 1 Dec 2004 (GMT)
Fair enough. --Athamasha 20:35, 1 Dec 2004 (GMT)

disambig page

I removed the Category and User disambig notices. If we start creating disambig page for all of those, we'll end up with thousands. Given that every factbook shares a nation name and most share a User name, that's just not a precedent I'd like to see set. → Fris Θtalk 05:21, 5 Dec 2004 (GMT)

We're trying to avoid creating general articles like Socialist and Naturalism in preference to [[Wikipedia:Socialist|]]. A more complete discussion can be found here. Also, are you really going to create 14 different city pages, 23 different Subdivision articles, and so on? It seems to me that unless they've played a significant role in NS roleplaying, a Cites of Athamasha article and another Subdivisions of Athamasha page would suffice. → Fris Θtalk 05:38, 5 Dec 2004 (GMT)
Yeah, good points, both of you. "Naturalism" as described in the NSWiki article is quite different from what "Naturalism" usually applies to, so I think that one stays. To tell you the truth, I'm really not all that interested in RP -- I'm just writing an encyclopedia of Athamasha because it's fun to do so. But I'll try and keep it within reasonable limits: I understand that some of the things that I've written up are a little bit, well, excessively ambitious. Thanks for your help, --Athamasha 15:17, 5 Dec 2004 (GMT)

re: Consul - do we really need a separate page for this? If so, how do we categorize it without adding a new category that everyone will spam with every government official they can think of? You've been a fairly aggressive wiki community member of late, and I trust your judgement. I also dump the resolution of this issue back into your lap.  :) → Fris Θtalk 04:05, 9 Dec 2004 (GMT) (BTW, Goob tracked down the correct name(s) for Scales).

When I created that page, I was merely "tying up" a loose end -- New Meritocracy members had created three or four links to the word "Consul" in their pages, so I created a page to redirect that. The fact that the Society has consuls also is completely conincidential, I assure you ;). You raise an excellent point about the category, though. It's true that there is no good category for this, and creating a new category will probably lead to the creation of many worthless new pages. I think that this can be safely ignored: does every single page need to be categorized? But if a category is needed, I would recommend Miscellaneous Political Entities to go along with Political Parties and Political Theories. If we need to use a pre-existing one, I would rewrite the article under Consulate and stick it under Political Theories. --Athamasha 21:18, 9 Dec 2004 (GMT)
