Boo! It's me, why don't you check out my factbook (and the buttload of articles therein). -Khallayne

I had a look: nice work. I cleaned up one a little, and I'll do some more on others. By the way, to sign your comments, just put in four tildes, like so ~~~~. It saves time, and gives a link to your User page. (If you do four, the date will show; three will just sign you.)Gruenberg2 07:21, 19 October 2005 (GMT)

Macabees

Hey, thanks a lot man. And sorry for saying that on NS, I didn't really say it correctly, and I apologize in general for anything that was done to your page, which I know it was, because the people were talking to me on MSN. Macabees 01:28, 19 October 2005 (GMT)

Ah, don't worry about it. I wasn't that fussed: some of it was quite funny. And I know you did your bit to calm everyone down anyway, controlling certain off-site forums etc. In terms of signing, don't actually put the <nowiki> bits...just the tildes.Gruenberg2 01:29, 19 October 2005 (GMT)

Czardas

Shouldn't all those categories be linked? ~ Czardas 05:46, 29 October 2005 (GMT)

....Or not. Sorry.~_^ ~^v^

The Resurgent Dream

Yes, there is a reason. I'm about to delete that stuff from the main page and replace it with a more typical nation entry. I realized the main entry was more a fact book than a typical nation article. The Resurgent Dream

Stoddenia

I'm attempting to put my nation info into the Wiki, and I can cut and paste it well, but I am having trouble embedding the picture of my mapand flag. And apparently the linking doesn't work. I uploaded the picture of the flag successfully, but the map will not upload, and the flag used to work, but no longer does. I would like to put both pictures on the page, but for some messed up reason I can't seem to. What do I do?

(edit: Right. I figured it out. I simply utilized the ages old tactic of lifting code. I hope you don't mind. I changed it after that to meet my needs. And it did help to establish an account at photo bucket. Great place for hoting pictures, for real... Works well. Thanks a lot for everything. The entry looks great now.)

Not a problem. Feel free to ask again if you have queries in the future.Gruen2alk 16:41, 3 November 2005 (GMT)

Love and esterel

hi

thanks for all you contributions to the NS wiki UN timeline and for you message

if you don't mind i will put the link back where they were

last month, i noticed Mik did that for Mitigation of Large Reservoirs, i found it was great and then did the same for Worldwide Media Act, it's more practical, you are right that it's not possible in resolution page, but NS wiki is a Hyperlinked encyclopedia :-) --Love and esterel 00:50:21, 2005-11-07 (GMT)

hi
as there is a precedent, i put back the links, hope you don't mind
i really think it's more practical, this is the way the whole internet is build :-) if you want to consult others to reach some consensus, no pb, i will then modify "it education" and "wma" if needed

you right: the neutrality of the "open-source" wikipedia article is disputed, thanks, i have changed the link to this:
http://www.hyperdictionary.com/search.aspx?define=open+source
but i prefer to keep a link until you consult others and reach some consensus

Re:Re:cleanup of Violet

I still believe it needs some cleanup, although I understand what you've said. Perhaps it could be made a bit more professional without compromising the spirit of the debate? ~ Ceorant 02:14, November 7, 2005 (GMT)

Deleted Templates

Hi, thanks for deleting the templates I asked for, and for replying. :) If you want to know what I was trying I was effectively trying to port the Wiki:ISO 3166-1 page from Wikipedia and adapt it for my home region (PEEL) - I really liked the ISO stuff being done here, but PEEL's quite insular Role-Playing wise so I thought I'd be really cleva and make one exclusively. So I looked up the equivilant article on Wikipedia, and having successfully ported a few templates from Wikipedia and adapted them for NSWiki, I thought I'd give it another go. Unfortunately as I went I realised that there was basically three seperate templates for every single nation mentioned - not only that, it all hinged on the countryflag template. Am I right in thinking that the resize option - ie the Image|25px|etc - hasn't been resolved on NSWiki yet? I didn't want to clog up the NSWiki uploads with lots of different flags each in lots of different sizes, so that meant hosting them externally on imageshack - and that didn't agree with the code - or basically I couldn't figure out how to match them together. Unfortunately, I could not see whether codes were working unless I saved the template, because their effects would only be seen on yet another page I was doing. So at the end of the day I had to create nearly 5 or 6 templates to see if the greater thing was working - and it wasn't, and I couldn't get it to work so I gave up on it - but felt that the now completely useless template pages could be cleaned up.

Hope that makes sense :P
Any hints you could give me about this stuff would be greatly appreciated :)
Cheers again

Linking to Categories

Is it possible to link to a category without actually putting the article in the category? Thanks. ~ Ceo rant (or rave) 01:22, November 23, 2005 (GMT)

Sorry to butt in on your talk page, Gruen, but I can answer the question, so... :P Sorry, though. Ceo, yes, you can. When you link, just go like this [[:Category:whatever|whatever]]. That should do it for you. --Pacitalkia 03:17, 23 November 2005 (GMT)
Fine by me. Gruen2alk 08:18, 23 November 2005 (GMT)

Belated thank you for work on IDU category

Thanks, Green Mountain (it's the same in German as in Bazitlan (sp., sorry), for a helpful hint and free labour to make our region better. I'm not the UN Delegate anymore, but I'll spread the word. We've had several leading NS and NSWiki members CTE, only to reappear. I'm sure when school or RL issues settle, more people will be able to take greater advantage of your creation.

Comprehensive solution to Sober Thought issues with NSWiki implications

Gruenberg --

I left a long (!) note at User talk:Sober Thought of how I plan to fix the problems or issues you and others have identified in the Category:Sober Thought articles, and how some of these will help (or at least impact) upon the NSWiki in general. If you have time in the next week, could you please give them a once over, state your objections, indicate your assent or make suggestions? Vielen Dank, or Dankje viel (sorry, such little Dutch as I have absorbed is very rusty). I'll start using the proposed system right away (since it does conform more to Wiki conventions than some of what I have done to date), and within a week I'll start retroactively applying it by moving, #REDIRECTing and otherwise messing with existing articles.

Thanks.

Thanks. It was a sort of dumb introduction, so I revamped it and desectioned it so it's above the TOC. Thanks for your help. → Ceo|squawk 19:30, November 29, 2005 (GMT)

Page moving over redirect

Thanks for fixing [[Sober Thought]. However, when doing a technical delete to move a page over a redirect, it's best to undelete the page history, as there's no reason not to have it. I've done that. --Goobergunch|? 00:10, 30 November 2005 (GMT)
