The Whitsall-Egadd Corporation is a defense contractor created in X914 by the merger of Whitsall Industries and the Egadd Company. Located in the Bureaucratic States of Oglethorpia, its largest customer is the Oglethorpian Defense Bureau. It is the primary defense contractor in Oglethorpia.

History

While Whitsall Industries and the Egadd Company were well established defense contractors, the rapidly growing Amalgamated Industries conglomerate was poised to purchase the two companies. In mutual financial interest, in X914 the Egadd Company and Whitsall Industries merged to form the Whitsall-Egadd Corporation, creating Oglethorpia's second largest defense contractor, next to Amalgamated Industries. These early years were spent restructuring the new enterprise, but by X920 Whitsall-Egadd was clearly growing even in the shadow of Amalgamated Industries.

Ironically, in X921 the now prosperous Whitsall-Egadd Corporation purchased Amalgamated Industries' Military Aerospace Systems division, becoming the Whitsall-Egadd Aerospace division. The newly acquired asset gave Whitsall-Egadd a virtual monopoly on the defense industry, with specialized divisions in army hardware, navy shipbuilding and now aerospace engineering.

In modern times, the Whitsall-Egadd Corporation does 90% of Oglethorpia's defense contractor business, with the remainder done by various other small defense companies.

Organization

Currently heading the Whitsall-Egadd Corporation is CEO Henry Heff-Shoeston Whatson, a descendent of Oglethorpian renniassance man Henry Hughes-Schnell Whatson. Below him is a board of directors whom assist Whatson in designating the direction of the corporation.
