Overview
The Communal Union of Noveta; abbreviated CUN (French: Union Communale de Noveta [UCN]), better known as Noveta, is a island country that is located in the central part of the Communist Socialist Alliance region. It is composed of four major islands (Noveta Main, Selegolene, Surveuil, Monet) and six lesser islands (Majoré, East Majoré, West Majoré, Sage, Beatrix, Grenoble), in addition to thirty-nine communal cities, three thousand communal city districts and nine communal regions.
The Communal Union of Noveta was created out of the territory of the Overseas Department of Noveta, which was formally dissolved on 10 July 2007, after seventeen years of fighting for the independence of Noveta from France and for the total overthrow of the Novetan Capitalist class. Many refer to the series of events that took place between the start of the uprising against Capitalism and colonial rule in 1990 and the proclamation of Novetan independence and Communism 2007 as the Novetan Revolution.
The main issues that are even more paramount to today's Noveta are the development of industry, a complete brake with both currency and tourism, the development of a computerized economy that would bring about both the real Communist society that the overwhelming majority of Novetans desire and overabundance, the development of an excellent transportation infrastructure, the development of an excellent health care infrastructure, the development of an excellent education infrastructure and the development of its mining industries.
