The Disputed Territories of Saxon Westphalia (German: Die Gestrittene Territorien Sachsen-Westfalens, French: Les Territoires Contestés de Saxon Westphalia) is a confederation of former German federal states (Länder), specifically Schleswig-Holstein, Hamburg, Lower Saxony, Bremen and North Rhine-Westphalia , which seceded from the Federal Republic of Germany. While the seccession movement caused a civil war between the seccessionist states and the rest of Germany, followed by a ceasefire and truce between the combatants, Saxon Westphalia's new government continues to debate internationally over property claims, border controls, jurisdiction, and the like, particulary with Germany.
