Prince
From NSwiki, the NationStates encyclopedia.
This article deals with Prince as it relates to NationStates. For more general information, see the Wikipedia article on this subject.
A Prince or Princess can be one of several things:
- the child of a King or Queen, and in some cases heir to the throne
- the sibling of a monarch
- a lower tier noble with the title prince or princess, perhaps a great landholder, or a distant descendant of a past monarch (a prince of the blood)
- a monarch who does not hold the title of "King" or "Queen". A prince or princess may for example be the leader of a Principality.
- a hereditary Head of State in a non-sovereign principality, not considered a monarch.
The term prince may also refer to monarchs or a monarch in a general sense, in which case it isn't used as a title. The lists on this page exclusively refer to the title, not to the generic term.
