Acarionne

The Kingdom of Acarionne is a tiny, economically powerful nation, remarkable for its compulsory military service. Its compassionate, hard-working population are free to succeed or fail in life on their own merits; the successful tend to enjoy an opulent (but moralistic) lifestyle, while the failures can be seen crowding out most jails.

The medium-sized government juggles the competing demands of Commerce, Social Welfare, and Education. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 12%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Cheese Exports, Pizza Delivery, and Gambling industries.

Voting is compulsory. Crime is moderate, and the police force struggles against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. Acarionne's national animal is the parakeet and its currency is the Franc.

Acarionne is a Royal Territory of the Grand Kingdom of New Arundel and is ruled directly by New Arundel's King, Michel I. He is known as King Michel I, King of New Arundel, Emperor of Lunar France, Emperor of the Atlantian Isles, and King of Acarionne. Although King Michel controls many lands and a strong empire, he is very kind to his subjects and rules his Kingdom with love and prosperity.
