Introduction

Background:

The origins of the Commonwealth are deeply rooted in the ancient past of its people and their myths. It is beleived that the capital city of Caras Galadhon was first settled ages of the world ago. No reliable records from this time exist from any source other religious texts written in Quenya and Sidarin. The Elven King Amroth built from Caras Galadhon the forest realm of Lothlorien. Amroth passed into the west and left the rule of Lothlorien to Lord Celeborn and Lady Galadriel. Celeborn and Galadriel passed into the west at the beginning of the fourth age of the world and Lothrien and Caras Galadhon dwindled and became a small secret woodland realm until the Earth changed. When the Earth was changed the lost realm of Lothlorien became part of the Western Haven Continent. The elven population took pity on the men of the surrounding areas and the Empire of Greater Lothlorien was founded. As the population of both elves and men increased from birth and migration of elves the Empire grew in power until contact from rest of the world sounded in the 16th century. The outside invaders sought to conquer the empire and a sucession of wars followed leaving the armies of the invaders in shambles and the Empire safely secure. The Empire established normal ties with the rest of the world in the suceeding centuries and peacefully made the change to a democratic system in the late 18th century. The name was changed from the Empire of Greater Lothlorien to The Commonwealth of Caras Galadon in the early 20th century and the word Socialist was added at the beginning the 21st.
