Catalatina (officially named the People's Republic of Catalatina) is a small socialist republic located east of Marquish and north of Stalinikov. It became a socialist state in the middle of the 20th century after a violent mass revolt against the capitalist government and the bourgois class, then the ruling parties of the nation. The revolution was organised by a vanguard party calling themselves The Catalinian Liberators.
History
In the early 20th century, Catalina (then referred to as The Domain of Tropica) was very unlike most other nations in the Alliance of Socialist States. In fact, at the time, though Tropica was located in the dead center of the AOSS region, it was not a part of the alliance itself and was constantly in a bitter cold war with the left-wing nations of the AOSS.
