The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is a religious organization which considers itself a restoration of the original Christian Church founded by Jesus and his Apostles. The is emphasized in this case to indicate it is The ONE and ONLY True Chruch.

The Church teaches that God and his son Jesus Christ appeared to Joseph Smith and told Jospeh that non of the churches he was curious about were true and that he should join non of them. He was called him to be a prophet and to restore essential elements of Christianity which had been lost between the ministry of Paul of Tarsus and the First Council of Nicea. A new book of scriptures, the Book of Mormon was delivered to Smith to be used in addition to the Bible.

The Church is, in theory, headed by a First President. However, as with all centralized religion authorities in Nationstates, it is near impossible to determine definitively who the First President is. Some Mormon communities acknowledge Gordon B. Hinckley (the RL First President) as first President while others recognize roleplayed First Presidents such as Carter Blackmun of the Commonwealth of Peoples.
