===Promotion and Relegation===

Promotion and Relegation varies widely between the different levels of Casaran Soccer.

Professional Leagues utilize what has been named the "National Test Series" in order to determine promotion and relegation. After the final day of the season, several series of matches are scheduled. In the first series, all of the Fourth Division teams are paired up against the opposite finishers in the Third Division, i.e. The Fourth Division champion plays the last place Third Division team, the 2nd place Fourth Division team plays the 11th place Third Division team, so on and so forth. Then each pairing plays a match at the Third Division team's ground. If the Fourth Division team wins, they earn the spot that the Third Division team inhabits and the Third Division team is relegated. If the Third Division team wins, they defend their position. In the case of a tie, the match is replayed at the opposite ground until a match ends in a result in favor of one team. Then, the Third Division teams and any Fourth Division teams who might have promoted are matched in the second series against the teams of the Second Division and undergo the same procedure, followed by the First Division.

The National League undergos a much more traditional league structure. The bottom four teams in the National League are relegated to the Northern and Southern Leagues, based on their geographic location. In the case that three or all four teams are relegated to one division, teams geographically closest to the other will change leagues to maintain a balance. From the Northern and Southern leagues, the bottom 4 teams are relegated to their geographic areas, and the 5 level 8 league champions are automatically promoted, as well as the top 2nd place finisher. The remaining 2nd place finishers then play off for the final 2 promotion spots.
Teams are not promoted in this fashion to the professional league. Teams can file for promotion to the professional leagues from anywhere in the National Leagues be filing a report with the CSA outlining their economic condition, attendance, and ground in order to show that they can compete on the full-professional level. If so, they replace teams finishing at the bottom of the Fourth Divison before promotion matches. Usually, there is around 3-4 promotions from the Nationals to the Professional League a year.
Promotion and Relegation between the different level minor leagues is usually irregular, organized jointly between the entities operating the leagues and the CSA. Containing everything from low-level Professional Teams and mid-level Amateur teams at the Regional and Barony Levels down to Bar, Church, Company, and Fan Club teams in the City and Local Leagues, the quality of competiton varies greatly as you get deeper into the higherarchy. In some areas, such as major cities, the City and Local levels might be divided into sublevels (A and B for City, A, B, and C for Local) in order to accomidate more teams and leagues in the existing structure.
Teams can also be relegated or denied promotion by the CSA on several conditions. The condition or size of the team's ground, the team's economic condition, or the status of the team's fanbase and attendance are all taken into account. If a promoting team is held back, it's spot is awarded to the next highest team who is elegable to promote. If relegated, the highest ranked team in the relegation zone will remain in it's current league.

==Cup Competitions==

There are a several CSA-run Cup competitions, along with a large number of privately run competitions as well.

===The CSA Cup===

The CSA Cup is Casari's premier cup competition, with almost all of the nation's professional sides along with some of the most successful amateur sides taking part. Run as a single elimination tournement, it starts in the summer with the lowest-ranked sides and proceeds throughout the year, as the higher ranked teams recieve byes into later rounds. The competition culminates at the very end of the season in November, when the final two sides meet at Casari National Stadium for the final. The CSA Cup is unique, as the tiebreak procedure requires that a replay be played in the case of a match ending in a tie after extra time. Replays alternate between the home stadiums of both teams until a match ends with a definate result.

If a team wins the cup four times, the Cup, which us usually mounted on top of the platform where the names of the winning teams have been engraved, is removed and awarded permanently to the winning team. Then a new cup is designed to replace the old on top of the trophy.

===The CSA Trophy===

The Trophy is the amateur-only counterpart to the CSA Cup. Any amateur team in Casari can take part, unless they decided to participate in the Cup competition instead.

===League, Regional, Barony, County, and City Cups===

The various League, Regional, Barony, County, and City Cups which exist in Casari are competitions operated by the CSA and leauges in a geographic area. Each type of cup is contested by the teams the level below- for instance, the teams in local leagues in the Tyrellia City geographic area compete for the Tyrellia City Cup.
