Freethinker Airlines ( also known as FreeAir and Freethinker Airlines Ltd ) is the fully private national flag carrier of the Freethinker Commonwealth. Established in 1927 as The Freethinker Air Postal and Passenger Service, the airline today is the largest domestic and international Freethinker airline by a considerable margin, operating a large number of flights to a variety of domestic and international locations. A multitech aerospace operation, Freethinker Airlines operates a number of transatmospheric craft alongside traditional airliners and regional aircraft.
Subsidiaries & Franchises
Subsidiaries
- Commonwealth Air
Commonwealth Air is a low-cost fully-owned subsidiary running economy-class only flights between the larger cities and metropolises in the Freethinker Commonwealth at a lower level of general fare prices than its parent company. Although nominally a low-cost airline, because of the distances involved in most of these routes and the number of passengers involved, service and seat quality is considerably higher than most budget airlines offer.
- Commonwealth Freightliner
Commonwealth Freightliner is the cargo-carrying division of Freethinker Airlines, and operates as a charted freight service with a few scheduled routes in support of airborne mail services.
- Execuair
Execuair is a small charter airline in which Freethinker Airlines own a majority stake (around 59% of currently floated shares) that specialises in providing executive jets and all first-class seating airliners for various customers and travel agencies.
Fleet
- ACA C-100 Skyliner 48 (24 Freethinker Airlines, 24 Commonwealth Air)
- FDIA Greyfoot 174 (174 Commonwealth Freightliner)
More to add
Future Orders
- ACA C-100F Skyliner 6 (6 Commonwealth Freightliner)
Criticisms
Like most major flag carriers, Freethinker Airlines has been accused of both establishing and maintaining an effective monopoly on many international and domestic routes.
