German is an indogermanic language spoken in RL Germany (obviously), Austria and parts of Switzerland, Belgium and Italy. It is often assumed as national language in NationStates nations, especially, if the nation is fascist or national socialist. However most players do not speak german so they Babelfish for translations or use the few things they remember in their text. This practice makes is nessecary to distinguish between NS-german and german, which is actually understood (for example: 'States' is far too often translated as 'Zustände' which is the plural of 'status', not of 'state').
