The People's Republic of Hecktoria is a nation located in the Southern hemisphere of Wysteria. Broken into five regions, each one has a capital city. The capitals are Vandenburg, Housin, Richards, Lewis, Talitha and the largest city is Vandenburg. The People's Republic of Hecktoria is a tiny, socially progressive nation, notable for its absence of drug laws. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 5 million enjoy extensive civil rights and enjoy a level of social equality free from the usual accompanying government corruption.

The enormous, socially-minded government juggles the competing demands of Healthcare, Social Welfare, and Education. The average income tax rate is 37%, but much higher for the wealthy. A substantial private sector is led by the Basket Weaving, Trout Farming, and Door-to-door Insurance Sales industries.

Crime is moderate, and the police force struggles against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. Hecktoria's national animal is the Hecktal, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Tallent.
