Kêrona is a Kiravian colony and city located on Justantina Island in St Samuel
History
In the year 2007 of the conventional calendar, the St. Samuelan government opened up Justantina island for foreign settlement. Settlers from Kirav were admitted, and arrived at Justantina aboard the settler transport ship ISS Ecumenical. The settlement was quickly constructed, mainly out of metal, stone and concrete. In all respects, Kêrona was built exactly like any town would be in the Kiravian Empire, with a defencive wall, an organized street system, and a central citadel to house government offices and such buildings. A week after Kêrona's founding, Exford Greenpine was elected to local office and appointed City Administrator by Emperor Kexarin Raincedar.
Economy
Kêrona has an economy typical of a Kiravian colony.
IT, Scientific Industries, Manufacturing, and Construction employ much of the populace. It has found a niche in the local economy by producing custom works in mechanical goods for factories and farms on Justantina.
Several farms are located inside the walls, and 15 more are outside of them, but still within the city limits. Crops include Cale, Tubers, Cabbage, Celery, Flax, tea herbs, and Indigo.
