The Queens of Rastaban

Before the rule of Queens was established in Rastaban, it was a council of six men, one from each House that ruled from 3 B.C. till 750 A.D.

The long line of the Queens of Rastaban was first established shortly after the Battle of Tres in 750 A.D. Since then only women have ruled Rastaban. The highest title in the land is queen, second only being king. The title of King of Rastaban may only be obtained when the husband of the queen takes upon the family name, Rastaban. If he does not wish to take this name, he will be called prince. If the woman inheirting the throne is not a direct heir and she was born to another last name, she will take Rastaban as hers upon her being crowned. The queen is also traditionally the head of the First House of Rastaban.

The title and rights of Queen are passed on from mother to daughter, or grandmother to grandaughter, unless otherwise stated below.
