The Matranga Family is one of the best-known families in Starblaydia, as many of the Matrangas have played for the Starblaydia national football team since its creation for World Cup 15. Known primarily for their speed and determination, a Starblaydia team with a Matranga in it is much the richer for it.

  • Aiden Matranga was the first of the family to break into the World stage, a Left-Winger wearing the #7 shirt. Through bad luck and the presence of Stefan Haldorsson he was largely unsuccessful at national level until AOCAF 3 where he, as Captain, led Starblaydia to the Final in his last tournament at the age of 35. The goals scored and memories made in that tournament endeared him to the national population, as his passion and patriotism was clear to see for all, earning him a place in the Starblaydia All-Time XI nominations.
  • Aiden's eldest son Nick Matranga then took up the reigns as a national hero as the wide-midfielder on either side of the pitch commanded the Montepool Waves and Starblaydi sides of the time. Tall and rangy, unlike his father, Nick was an incredible winger and quite rightly was nominated to the World Cup Hall of Fame, as well as to the Starblaydia All-Time XI side.
  • Itechton Matranga was Aiden's youngest son, named after the Pedrian city when Aiden scored his first ever goal for Starblaydia in AOCAF3. Looking much more similar to his father than Nick, Itechton's skill in the troublesome 'hole' spot as an Attacking Midfielder/withdrawn Striker was second to none for the time, earning him many caps and goals, as well as being part of the Golden Generation of Starblaydi Football for winning the 14th Under-21 World Cup. He became a World Cup Winner in World Cup 25 in Kaze Progressa's captial city: Kaza. Fittingly his next child was named Kaza Matranga, continuing the family tradition.
  • Jade Matranga, the daughter of Nick and thankfully with his likeness rather than her grandfather's, became the second female to play for the Starblaydia Under-21s after Cherry Garcia. As an attacking and left-sided midfielder, Jade revived a second family tradition of scoring in World Cup Finals matches, netting against Commerce Heights on Matchday 2 of World Cup 27. With that goal a Matranga had been on the scoresheet in World Cups all the way from 19 through to 25, with hers in the 27th iteration of the Cup.
  • Kaza Matranga, Itechton's daughter, went to three World Cups (31, 32 & 33) as Starblaydia's #10, and was the team's top scorer in each of those tournaments with 11, 14 and 12 goals respectively. She played everywhere from Legalese to System Karela and, with 42 international goals to her name in 67 appearances, can be reckoned as one of Starblaydia's greatest ever strikers.
