Nova Latium was a collection of several states that were settled by some Ancient Romans while passing through to Egypt. They settled in the mountains south of present day Riegab and untill several decades ago were mostly isolationist. But one day several decades ago Riegaban troops entered the capital Roma Novus and demanded they open ties, naturaly they listened. Over the years they (willingly) opened up ties with more people in the region, their economy began to flurish untill there was unfortunetly a revolt. A terrorist group called the Reformo Amplitudo, meaning ironically Great Reform, wanted to go back to the old days, so they attacked the government, now since most of the people liked the new way of life, they called for Riegab to step in, and sure enough they crushed he revolt with only a few casulties, but as a result the government voted to be annexed by Riegab as a semi-autonomous state under the control of Riegab.

Religion

Many of the citizens of Nova Latium still follow the pagan traditions of Ancient Rome, but some are starting to adopt the Neugiler religion from Riegab, more information on this can be found towards the bottom of the page.

Language

Everyone in Nova Latium knows both Formal and New Latin, however most only speak New Latin on a regular basis, Formal Latin is only used for legal documents and most papers done in school. It is also the official language of the government.
