Notes
Starblaydia Under-21s first ever Captain.

Considering what some Under-21 Captains have gone on to become, or how the careers of some of Starblaydia's squad for the 3rd Under-21 World Cup ended up, one would consider Olaf Vikerman to be somewhat of a failure.

By making only five appearances in his Senior International career - all of them in AOCAFs - Olaf never realy had an oppurtunity to install himself in the international side. The reason for this is simple. Players like Fabricio de Souza Lima and Steve Owens were better than him at the time, and by the time players like Simon Hill had come along, Olaf had already had to retire through to injury. Whereas Under-21 teammates like Simeone Di Bradini, J.J. Stark and Rodriguez Da Silva were very much 'modern-day' players, Olaf was from the 'old school' of amateurs kicking a ball around on a weekend purely because that was when they didn't have to go to work.

Olaf represents an old-time view of football - some with rose-tinted spectacles would say a golden age of the amateur game - one which has, sadly, generally died out in Starblaydia. On the pitch, however, he was a hulking brute of a man who wouldn't have look out of place in a Rugby Union scrum. His one Under-21 goal came against Kaze Progressa in Starblaydia's first ever win, an exciting 4-3 victory on Matchday 2 of Under-21 World Cup 3.

After his playing career, however, Olaf became the Chairman of the Starblaydi Football Association. His ability to see the best option from both the amateur and 'grass roots' point of view as well as the professional, big-business Liga Starblaydia side assures both sides that he is the best man for the job.
