Ambassador Sera Ilaan Merala was born in Kajurmani, though she has spent much of her life since in Shalbatana, Kajal Mars. She moved to Mars during the colonization efforts, and is more than simply fond of the land. A good friend of Imperatrix Keral, she served under her as one of Kajal Mars's ambassadors up until the Democratic Revolution. At the behest of the Imperatrix, she moved to Tareldanorë to serve as the Chief of the Mission on Earth. She currently resides in Vinyatírion, Menelmacar.
