The ITV Regional Republic of Thames Television (originally known as The People's Republic of Thames Television) was founded on the 16th November 2003, from the remains of the television channel that served London Weekdays from July 1968 to December 1992. It is the sister nation of LWT.

While feeding his Peacock-Sues there, King William was inspired by a telegram recieved from Matt the Shrimp to create another nation. A few days later he duly did so, and thus Thames Television was born. The rousing startup tune 'Salute to Thames' was chosen as a national anthem, and the Hawk Esworth sits proudly on the top of King William's throne at Teddington as the national animal.

National Holidays

  • 30th July - Anniversary of Thames Television beginning broadcasting (Day of Celebration)
  • 24th September - Leader's Birthday (Day of Celebration)

Unlike LWT there is no Day of Mourning commemorating the anniversary of Thames Television broadcasting for the final time, as this would fall on New Years Eve.

Region History

Regions that this nation has situated in include the now defunct regions of Staffordshire (disappeared when its nations left) and Northumbrian Cheviot, a region that Thames Television moved to in early May 2004, and stayed there until September when the founder decided to nuke it (ejecting all nations before doing so, of course) due to supposed inactivity. Its current region of England is considered to be a temporary measure until a new region is found, though King William holds no grudge against it.
