The Theocratic Kingdom of Myroria is a relatively large nation in southwestern Taijitu that is one of the most conservative and relgious nations there. Myroria is also one of the richest nations in Taijitu; it has the fifth largest GDP per capita in the region after Grand Militonia, Ryazania, Bustos-21, and Pragmia. The Myrorian Catholic Church has a big influence in Imperial government; even Peté Tar-Ilium, the Empeurer and an Eruvist, has "The Most Catholic Empeurer" in his official title. The ownership of Eluvatar between Peté, an Eluvataran, and the House of Stewards, is disputed between the two nations.

Main Exports & Imports

The four main common exports of Myroria are hops, barley, indigo, and haddock. Rarer exports are marble and gold, which also make up most Myrorian cities.

The Myrorian People

Their Background

Myrorians are largely Belgian and German in their ancestry, with most people immigrants from those countries. All native European Myrorians were descended from medieval nomadic tribes in the south of Germany. This area that is now known as Bavaria was Roman land before Myroria even existed, but its ideas influenced Myroria city planning and food to this day.

Their Sports

Myrorians are not very sports-liking, though a good assortment of sports are popular among the people. Among the aristocracy, badminton is especially popular, as well as tennis. Among the gentlemen and women, Fox hunting is popular. For the commoners, polo is more predominant. American football, while not banned, would not be played by any self-respecting Myrorian because of the taboo and "barbarianism" associated with it.

Myrorian Culture

Myroria's morals are largely Victorian in nature, though there is no sexual repression of any kind. Some would say that Myrorians are even wild for their public appearance. A gentleman of Myroria will often be willing to fight for their honour in a duel, though each duel is carefully recorded and watched by a policeman trained for the job, known as a Duel Policeman, obviously enough. Women are expected to wear corsets and act proper, and compared to other nations in the western world, Myroria is very uptight.

Social Classes in Myroria

Unlike other nations, Myroria acknowledges and keeps a strict social class system. People are generally divided into the peasantry (25%), the commoners (55%), the wealthy (15%), and the aristocracy (5%). Peasants are expected to care to their fields and provide the agricultural base of Myroria. Commoners are the middle-class of Myroria, who will usually work in factories or large, white-collar facilities. The wealthy are usually what the rest of the world thinks of when they hear "aristocrat": Flamboyant, plump, and reminiscent of the French aristocracy near the French Revolution. Finally, there are the aristocrats, who are actually more modest, chivalrous, and noble than what the outside world thinks of. This isn't to say that the aristocracy aren't the ones owning grand plantations and huge manors, or who are in the high echelons of their respective Great House; they definitely are.

Oath of Allegiance to Myroria

I, [name], give my allegiance to the Myrorian Thalassocracy, her Empire, and our Holy and Great Emperor, Peté Tar-Ilium I. God, bless Myroria!

Names

Myrorians are very adept at sensing if a citizen is a foreign, and will often refer to them as an "outlander". It can be an insult, though it is usually just a neutral word. People living outside of Myroria sometimes refer to Myrorians as "Imperials" or "Germans", mainly because of their largely Germanic background. A nickname for Myroria itself in informal conversation is "the Thalassocracy" or, less commonly since the pretitle change "the Imperium". The full name is usually only used in official documents and formal events.

Food

Cuisine in Myroria has been given much variety since colonization began, though fish continues to remain the prevalent food. Other popular cuisine is grapes, wine, bread, caviar, steak, and German food. Exotic fruits and vegetables from the colonies are also in large export. Goose has also stayed around as a popular dish since the Romans.

Language

There are four official languages in Myroria, in order of most spoken, German, English, Dutch, and French. Though these four are most prevalent, many other European languages such as Lithuanian, Russian, and Greek are also spoken.

Religion

Most Myrorians are very religious, and the most common religion is by far Roman Catholicism. After that, Islam is the most popular, followed by Judaism and then atheism or agnosticism. Myroria's only official religion is Roman Catholicism, however.

History

Myrorians were believed to inhabit what is now known as the "boot of Guurith" since the early 1500s. The factions of settlers to the area, though, often fought and warred with each other. In one of the bloodiest years of the war, a leader named Lienmor Darskelang led his armies to victory, and united the boot of Guurith under the banner of his faction, a faction he named Myror. Wanting a homeland for his people, he named his new land "Myroria" and became its leader. However, the different provinces of his state continued to war until Darskelang was killed in battle. Myroria faded into civil war once again.

Then, in 1732, a new man named Roosdan Vyarden climbed the ranks of his micronation's army until becoming its leader. In a feat of power, he defeated all the other armies on the peninsula and again united the country under the banner of the new Myroria. Unlike his predecessor, Vyarden enforced his policies and put down rebellion. By the next year, the nation had declared its formation. Vyarden largely wrote the constitution and set up politics, setting up his own Great House (see Politics below) and allowing two others to form. Though his and one other would fade away, the third, Great House Worwoth, would flourish and later help the regime to come.

In 1873, the fledgling nation was overrun by Baltijan forces and subjected to fascism. Millions of Myrorians were killed in work and death camps before, in 1947, the people rebelled. Led by an heir of Roosdan Vyarden, the peasant army overran and killed the governor put into place to enforce the Baltijan government's laws, and raised the Myrorian flag above it. After repeated invasion attempts, the Baltijan armed forces gave up and returned sovereignty to the Myrorians. This war would cause long lasting animosity between the two nations that would not fade for generations. However, along with the Baltijans, the Myrorians lost their modern status. The liberated country had no choice but to return to pre-occupation tactics, which would result in repeated losses in later wars. However, this did not stop them from making several colonies in the rest of the Guurithi continent, and in the southwestern one Marcica.

As Myroria entered the twenty-first century, long standing isolationalism was falling apart, and more and more colonies turned Myroria into the largest nation in the Lexicon. The army was modernized in 2006, when Peté Tar-Ilium married Fredrika Quarrovth and shared military secrets of Eluvatar with her. This also formed the union of Eluvatar and Myroria, the United Imperium of the Aristocratic Thalassocracy of Myroria, the Royal Confederacy of Myroria, and the Colonies of the Myrorian Lexicon Company. It was at this point that the GDP and living conditions of Myrorian subjects reached an all time high, with the average citizen making over Ķ42,000 (80,728 USD) per year.

Language and Religion

The most often used language in Myroria is High Myrorian (better known as German), with Low Myrorian a close second. Inglish is the third most used language. Most Myrorians are Myrorian Catholic, with Islam a close second and Judaism a third.

Wars and Military

Imperial Aristocratic Army

The Imperial Aristocratic Army is the land defense force of Myroria. Conscription for twelve months is compulsory for men seventeen and older. One of the cozier divisions to be assigned to is the Elite Aristocratic Imperial Guard, which maintains the old traditions of using horses, wearing ornate uniforms, and bearing swords. A recent modernization of the entire military affected the IAA especially, giving them Heckler & Koch G36s as assault rifles and modernizing their uniforms.

Imperial Aristocratic Navy

The Imperial Aristocratic Navy is the largest section of the Myrorian armed forces, probably due to the vast amount of colonies needing protection. With 1,306 ships in active service, and over 1,000,000 men serving, it is a very large navy. With the modern renaissance, rail guns have been implemented on most IAA ships, nearly eliminating ammunition explosions. The IAA retained it's old-fashioned uniforms, though modern materials are used to make them. Reasoning being that camouflage is not needed on a ship.

Imperial Aristocratic Air Force

The Imperial Aristocratic Air Force is the second-smallest section of the Myrorian military. 15,000 airplanes are part of the IAAF, and 400,000 soldiers on active duty. A recently revealed aircraft of the IAAF is the Pandora reconnaissance aircraft, a hypersonic and high altitude reconnaissance aircraft capable of reaching Mach 6.

Imperial Aristocratic Government Guard

The Imperial Aristocratic Government Guard is the smallest section of the Myrorian armed forces, comprising of 15,000 guards dressed in old-fashioned uniforms and guarding the more than 60 palaces in Myroria and her colonies. They are considered the best soldiers in Myroria, and can move in near perfect unison.

Imperial Aristocratic Espionage and Intelligence Order and Imperial Security Order

The Imperial Aristocratic Espionage and Intelligence Order is the spy service of the Myrorian armed forces. Members are typically from rich or upper middle class families, and are trained for the utmost loyalty. In the case of capture, an agent is ordered to use any means around to commit suicide if he faces torture. One agent in Ludistonia, when captured, had the whole building he was kept in blown up by terrorists paid off to evade torture. The Imperial Security Order is the even tighter band of people protecting the Imperial Family, akin to the Secret Service of the USA. They are typically the only ones allowed to hear any secret the Imperial Family wants them to, and are implanted with a tiny microphone in their cheek to order a strike if any is ever captured.

Economy and Crime

</div>

The economy in Myroria has been rated frighteningly good. One Kolonialreich is equal to nearly two NS dollars. The gross domestic product of Myroria is about Ķ58,432,863,781,668.60, equating to a per capita GDP of Ķ45,261.71.

<div" class="plainlinksneverexpand">policelondonqn6.jpg

</div>

Crime is no longer a problem, since the death penalty has been reintroduced. Police of Myroria are called Prefects, and their uniforms consist of a Myrorian cream colored custodian helmet, a black, blue, or maroon open tunic over a white pressed shirt. Large cities have blue tunics, Quarrovth and the capitals of the colonies have maroon ones, and the small villages scattered throughout the Thalassocracy have black. Only men are permitted to serve in the police force.

Politics

Myroria is a benevolent dictatorship, but the Great Houses aid in decision making. Parliament was disbanded after Fredrika came to power, calling it too corrupt. Myroria changes titles often. First, the nation was known as the "Constitutional Monarchy of Myroria". Once colonies began to be formed, it officially changed its name to "The Constitutional Monarchy and Her Associated Colonies of Myroria". When Marcica died and Fredrika took the throne, it was renamed the "Aristocratic Imperium of Myroria", and finally, "The Aristocratic Thalassocracy of Myroria". Myroria's leaders have consistently taken records in The Lexicon as the leader with the most residences, at 48. Technically, the Quarrovth Palace Complex is 6 palaces in one area, so the number of the buildings themselves would be 54.

Great Houses

The Great Houses of Myroria are what political parties are to a democracy. A group (usually family) of aristocrats who exert control over several companies and areas of Myroria and aid decision making on the part of the Imperatrix.

Great House Leader Description
Great House Quarrovth Fredrika I Great House Quarrovth is the Great House in power, led by the Imperatrix, Fredrika I. Their view on things is rather neutral. Quarrovth is largely centered around the The Church, and view honour and chivalry as the most important things in life. They are pacifistic and pioneered the idea of armed neutrality in Myroria.
Great House Hanso Alvar Hanso Great House Hanso is unique in that it is the first Great House to be led by a foreigner, a reclusive and old Danish man named Alvar Hanso. They are the most corporate of the group, with Hanso owning the most businesses out of the three. They hold an "every man for himself" attitude, and are the most progressive. Great House Hanso is the only house with an extensive paramilitary, and the most modern one at that.
Great House Worwoth Klaus Worwoth Great House Worwoth is the most notorious out of the three. Klaus is a fascist, and is rumoured to be connected with the Nazis, though he denies it. Out of the Great Houses, Worwoth is the most xenophobic, and foreigners are barred entry into the house. As of now, Worwoth is the smallest Great House, though their numbers are growing. Ironically, they inspired the colonialism that Myroria is now famous for.

Major Cities and Businesses

The largest city is Novrith, a major sea port. The city with the most independent businesses is Quarrovth, the capital. The largest communication company is Myrorian Communications Incorporated, or MCI. A large corporation helps run the country called The Myrorian Governmental Initiative, run by the power-hungry Alvar Hanso, a controversial figure because of his foreign background. The MGI was later reformed as the Myroria-Hanso Corporation. Peté largely contributed to it's diminishing of power.

Provinces

The provinces of Myroria are rather generically named. The North Province is mainly Taiga, and Great House Hanso is located here, with its household city being Mecklenburg. The Fertile West is largely agricultural land. Great House Worwoth is located mainly here, with its household city being Novrith. The Civilized West is home to the large cities and industry. Great House Quarrovth is headquartered here, in the city of Quarrovth. The final province is the Eastern Desert. No major cities or Great Houses are located here. In the cold north province, the summer temperature rarely gets above 60 degrees Fahrenheit. In the densely populated west province, the climate is temperate and July temperatures are typically 75 degrees Fahrenheit. In the fertile land, temperatures are hot and humid and typically 90 degrees Fahrenheit. In the desert, it is usually around 115 degrees Fahrenheit.

Transportation

Myroria's public transportation system is unique in that only the rich actually own cars. The rest usually get around by using horse drawn carriages. To accommodate both sides of the transportation issue, in most of Myroria one side of the road is paved like a modern street, and the other is cobblestone. As such, the autobahns are considerably more expensive because of this, so most roads are privatised and maintained by corporations. Common car makes in Myroria are Mercedes-Benz, Saab, Volkswagon, and BMW.

Architecture

<div" class="plainlinksneverexpand">rococo.jpg

</div>

The main architecture type used in Myroria is the Rococo style, which is different from other Roman Catholic states, as the Church shuns it for it's unearthliness and flamboyancy. Most tourists will find a huge similarity between Myroria and Austria or The Netherlands. Another emerging architectural style, neoclassical, is quickly becoming popular. Quarrovth, the capital, has been described as a city of "marble and gold", and contains grand amphitheatres and tall columns.
