History

(Real Life March, 2003-May, 2004) The Damned People gained its independence from The Pacific on March 19th, and Aldous Warhol was elected as its Leader. Since then, it has sucessfully grown into a major political and economical power in the world. After it gained its independence, The Damned People formed a region, called the Region Of The Damned, and began to recruit other nations to form a giant peace alliance. New Xen and Funky Island both entered the region, but then it was changed to the region of The United Peace Coalition. This coalition grew in size to up to 42 members over a long period of time. But, on The Damned People's Independence Day, Aldous Warhol announced that he was resigning as President of The UPC. The Damned People then moved, with two of its loyal UPC nations, United Peace Coalition and Nikola The Great, to the region of Do Not Disturb. Serbia And Montenegro also joined, after its previous region of Yugoslavia was taken over by Bulgarians. The Damned People was located there for a large portion of its history. There is an extensive history of terrorist attacks from a group called the ULA (United Liberation Army), said to be lead by a man who calls himself simply Al Huasid. The group used to go under the name 'MoujoKhabid', but changed it when Al Huasid took the reins. This terrorist group focuses mainly on overthrowing The Damned People's government and instating a supremacy of Jeraviks over all other races. Al Huasid is said to have smuggled hundreds of illegal immigrants across the southwestern borders of the Khalii-Maset Desert, and the group is said to consist of well over 10,000 members. Their headquarters is rumored to be Müsai, and they are responsible for at least 650 deaths in The Damned People alone. The group, for the nation's 2nd Independence Day, even managed a hostile takeover of Alokin, the capital, but was soon ejected. Later, Nikola The Great, Serbia And Montenegro, and United Peace Coalition resigned from the UN, leaving The Damned People as honorary, but not official, delegate. Afterwards, two ULA members led TDP through Xanthal in an epic search for the two fugitives, in order to stop a laser device capable of leaving The Damned People in ruins. Luckily, the criminals were caught, and accidentally died. Soon afterwards, The Damned People became very, very deeply involved in World War V. First, it helped moderate talks between Celack, Drum Gods, and other nations after Drum Gods killed Celackian diplomats. Drum Gods' representative walked out on the talks, and so continued World War V (which had started when Russian Forces and the CDF attacked the GDODAD). Later on, The Damned People kept a huge progress report of the war, updating the public and other nations on the huge masses of armies joining. The war had pulled in over 30 different nations, all forced to join due to relationships with or against the GDODAD. Later, World War V spurred much controversy and pulled in well over 100 nations, leaving entire regions devastated. Luckily, however, the war ended eventually. The Damned People rejoiced in parties for a long time, and its economy, political freedoms and civil rights went up as it entered a time of peace and prosperity. Right after the war, the nation formed an allied forces coalition (The CAF, or Coalition of Allied Forces) open to all nations of the world, a sort of repeat of The UPC. However, it was without a region. It was around this same time that The Damned People left the WMNK Coalition, following suit with the nation of Automagfreek. Shortly afterwards, the ULA carried out a plan which almost led to The Damned People going to war with Carmencita and the death of Vice President Banks. The Damned People has special forces, along with police and military, trying hard to uproot this group permanently. Citizens are alerted to be on the lookout for Al Huasid. And Aldous Warhol is still the leader to this day.

(Real Life December, 2005-Current) The Damned People, after an extensive hiatus from international politics during an extended period of isolationism, recently returned to interacting in world developments by forming the region of Power. This region, in which The Damned People resided, was dedicated to amassing an alliance powerful enough to throw its weight around in World Affairs. However, there was no explicit mission statement from the region, which included, among others, the old TDP allies Haraki, Celack, Nikola The Great, Serbia And Montenegro, and United Peace Coalition. TDP soon moved to the region of Gholgoth, created by its old ally Automagfreek. After the TDP move, Celack moved with TDP from Power. However, TDP was forced to take a temporary leave of absence to aid its allies in the region of Tlag. After returning to Gholgoth, TDP invited Haraki to join the region, and then began to isolate itself from world affairs to concentrate primarily on its economy. TDP soon changed from a centrist democracy to a more authoritarian capitalist state.
