The Proletariat Coalition is one of the largest socialist regions in NationStates, with particularly close relations with its sister regions: the Allied States of EuroIslanders and the Anticapitalist Alliance. TPC was the co-founding region of the Red Liberty Alliance along with the ASE.

A Brief History

The Proletariat Coalition was originally "founded", before founders existed, by Haderan who served as the region's first delegate. Haderan originally came from the Anticapitalist Alliance, perhaps the oldest still surviving left-wing region of a reasonable size. During Haderan's Delegacy, the Ministries were created - Minsitry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Defence. After Haderan stepped-down, PileAlcalin inherited the delegacy for a brief time until he himself had to leave, with Cwagja inheriting it until he too had to leave.

After this 2 month turmoil, Jako took up the delegacy; beginning a six-month Delegacy charaterized by the expansion of TPC into foreign affairs, including the MASS Alliance, and MAP Treaty. During this time, TPC saw its Constiution written, primarily by Southern Tasmania, loosely adapted from the Constitution of The Atheist Empire.

The longest serving delegate was Blackbird, in office for 3 terms totalling 9 months.

On December 9th 2004, TPC reached its highest population of 327.

On April 20th 2005, a new constitution was passed in which the government of TPC was restructured. Elected Ministers were retained and Soviet Sexy Girls appointed two new ministers. The second constitution has been fully implemented by June 2005 elections.
