The University of Burnaby is a large public university in Kelssek. It is consistenly rated as one of Kelssek's top three universities with strong ratings for overall quality of education, and is well-regarded for its scientific research and language programs.
Established by passage of the Burnaby University Act in the provincial legislature in 1890, The university's main campus is at Point Grey, and the 14.13 km² endownment lands of the university border Lakeshore Provincial Park. It has a satellite campus in downtown Burnaby, and another campus in the town of Surrey.
