population updates plus ...

I noticed you have several frequently-changing values on your Aeruillin page: Exchange rate, GDP, and the ever-popular population. Unlike many of our nations, you're not abusing the wiki by just updating these values and nothing else. Nonetheless, I recommend you remove them from your page, as updating them is somewhat pointless. They change daily.

Instead of values, point to links. Every infobox has a link to NSEconomy, which gives current GDP and exchange rates. Either point to that link, or include a new link to your choice of calculators (or even the XML feed) for economic stats. We're working on automating the population field, but until then we'd appreciate it if you wouldn't update it except as part of a broader update. Thanks. → Fris Θtalk 16:12, 14 Dec 2004 (GMT)

Don't worry about integrating the XML feed. The wiki code isn't really set up to do that, but User:Goobergunch is working on PHP scripts that will do it for us. (It's not going well, actually - can't seem to get past the errors. If you have advice ...) Once we get a working formula, we'll add it to ALL infoboxes via the template. → Fris Θtalk 16:42, 14 Dec 2004 (GMT)

Upload

From the logs:

19:56, 24 Mar 2005 Arancaytar uploaded "Image:Aeruillinmap.gif" (A preliminary map of Aeruillin)

How'd you manage that? Whenever I try to upload something I get a safe-mode based error; hasn't worked for me since the upgrade to 1.4.0 from 1.4beta6. --Goobergunch|? 19:21, 25 Mar 2005 (GMT)

Site error

There seems to be a virus going around the Internet affecting peoples' website randomly. Hopefully we'll have this fixed soon. --Goobergunch|? 06:36, 1 Apr 2005 (GMT)

Infoboxes

Hey, man. Thanks for adding the infobox to my article, but I've decided to take it down. I usually don't add those things because I feel they distract from the historical narrative I'm trying to write. Still, thanks for the thought! Iansisle 10:26, 3 Apr 2005 (GMT)

Image links in your category

The image links when categorized broke the category frameset, so I removed them. Your current method doesn't work either, at least not for me. I just go to an edit page. Why don't you check out wikipedia and figure out how it's done there, test it, and then post simplified rules for the rest of us somewhere (think NSwiki:Image use policy or something similar). It would useful to know how it actually works. → Fris Θtalk 03:24, 6 Apr 2005 (GMT)
