Going Category Crazy

I noticed you created several articles today, including The Dominion, which had massive numbers of categories. Let's not do that, please. You are welcome to create a category for your main nation and put your nation's primary articles in that. Categories are treated differently in the wiki, and we really don't want to be overrun with them, so the policy is "one nation, one factbook".

Please don't create categories for your regional neighbors. They can do that themselves if and when they join the wiki. Also, please don't add national categories to your region page. A better way is to provide a list of links such as "Regional members with wiki pages". Every article should belong to one or two categories, rarely more than that.

I also reverted your blanking of a region page (I forget which), presumably one you created, then abandoned. Please do not replace NSwiki pages with blank content. Blank pages are harmful to NSwiki because they have a tendency to confuse users. If it is a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalised, please revert it to the last legitimate version. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please edit the page and replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please see the deletion policy for how to proceed. Thanks for contributing to NSwiki! → Fris Θtalk 12:43, 22 Nov 2004 (GMT)
