The Kingdom of Wegason is a huge, environmentally stunning nation, remarkable for its complete absence of social welfare. Its hard-nosed, hard-working population of 680 million are either ruled by a small, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.
It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, pro-business government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Education, and Defence. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 15%. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Gambling industry.
The tenet of free speech is held dear, lending firms are subject to strict government regulations, waste is frequently shipped to other countries, and armed police units patrol the roads late at night. Crime is a major problem. Wegason's national animal is the Fire Dragon, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Fez.
Wegason is the Founder and UN Delegate of Coconut Island and a Director of ACCEL. Wegason is also a NS General Parliament MP for the Classic Liberal Party.
