Youngtung is a proud nation that has worked hard for the region of England. Shortly after the founding of England's Protectorate, the nation was awarded with the Order of England. Shortly after that, Youngtung was involved in England's attempts to expand to other regions, and was the serving Delegate of Bosnia for a fair time. Among the nation's former duties as Minister of Defence, Youngtung has run the English Stock Exchange, assisted in the gathering of Foreign Intelligence, and has served the region for over three years.

History

"Ancient" History: 530 BCE to 900 CE

The history of Youngtung has been accurately traced back to 530 BCE, when the first "government" was established. From the complex records of those times, scholars have determined that the government was run similar to the time of the pharaohs in ancient Egypt. These rulers shared a common belief in a more unified and prosperous region, but only for those who could afford it. Records also show a group of people who wanted more power and more rights. Many scholars believed these to be the slaves.

This part of Youngtungian history seems to be fairly similar to Egyptian history, and we have constant records up until approximately 540 CE. The record is then completely vacant until 900 CE, in which the region has become far more monarchical and technologically advanced.

Period of Advancement: 900 CE to 1500 CE

During these 600 years, the overall technological advancement, quality of life, and civil freedoms expanded many fold. At the end of this period, the region had already begun industrializing some trades, such as blacksmithing. Trade with other nations had increased and forms of currency were beginning to become more and more common.

The defensive capabilities of the region also increased. From the records, scholars have estimated that the army of current-day Youngtung was very-well armed and could easily deal with any incoming intrusion.

It was during this time that the falcon became the most notable symbol of Youngtung. Due to the large populations of falcons in the nation as well as the broad symbolism behind them, all the shields, armor plates, and banners carried the new symbol of Youngtungian strength.

Youngtung In England

The history of Youngtung, is simple. After it's creation, the nation noticed that the English Regional Delegate at the time, His Majesty was missing some of the UN issue votes. Youngtung then decided to message His Majesty and provide the nation's viewpoint on the current issue.

After a few months, when the regional command was created, His Majesty asked Youngtung to come into the English Cabinet. The nation was given the title of "Cabinet Adviser" and served there for some time. Right before the "Irish Scare," Youngtung succeeded Section-31 as Minister of Defense. The sequence of events in the "Irish Scare" is told by Resine from the History of England:

"Youngtung, the minister of defense, began organizing a force of English UN nations to assist in the interregional liberation effort of the two conquered British regions. But due to miscommunication, English forces were alerted too late to take part in the liberations. Even though England was not able to participate directly in the liberations of Northern Ireland and the United Kingdom, these events brought to light the need England had for a defense force and an intelligence service as she had had in her early days. By the end of March, Youngtung had established England’s Protectorate, an all volunteer force of UN nations willing to move in support of England and her allies."

England's Protectorate had been created and to this day is the first line of active defense for the region.

On June 3, 2004, Resine presented Youngtung with the Order of England, thereby making Youngtung a Knight of England.
