History of Khallayne
Origins
The first humans to inhabit the lands that are now considered to be the Khallayne Empire were nomads and various tribes fighting constantly to survive each other and the elements. The first civilization to emerge the Ambernost Empire around 1900 B.P. (Before Prophet or 900 B.C. in Real Time) and it was in Ambernost that would emerge a religious revolution that is felt to this day in Khallayne.
Imperial History
On the date Firstmonth 1, Year Zero of the New Era (100 A.D.) The Prophet, the leader of the greatest religious revolution in the world announced after gaining control of the last Heretic forces in Ambernost that a glorious new Empire would begin that would forever be ruled by his children and descendants. An Empire that the Prophet did not give a name to during his short 5 year reign before giving control to his youngest son Cameron who became Emperor Cameron I.
Jiao Dynasty
The Jiao Dynasty set the standards to which the Empire of Khallayne would be ruled by it's various families (all with blood connections to the Prophet of course) during it thousand year history. A small Dynasty of five Emperors and one Empress who showed how (and how not) to rule and Empire like Khallayne. The reigns of Emperor Cameron I (the Founder) and Cameron II set the standards to which all future monarchs are compared to. The polcies of One State Faith and Only Faith were enacted and enforced during their reigns, construction of the Imperial City began, and the first capital city of Amberyl was built. The reign of the first Empress, Angelia the Beloved saw the true birth of a cohesive culture emerge in the Empire. The dynasty was brought down by a military coup during the troubled reign of Emperor Bron I.

War of the Five Kingdoms
The Pesaro Dynasty
The War of the Four Thrones
The Rystal Dynasty
After Empress Yolanda II (1304-1399 N.E.) either killed or banished her brothers and sisters to eliminate all contenders to the Golden Diamond Throne she settled down into the Palace of Absolute Peace (the only building left in all the Imperial City) and began to build a new Dynasty. Yolanda II announced a number of changes, first off she declared a new "Rystal" Dynasty (Rystal mean "Restored" in Old Khallaynan) and changed the name of the capital to the same name. Second she ordered the complete reconstruction of the Imperial city with a hundred years of the first year of her reign (giving the national coffers and construction crews some breathing room). Yolanda II ruled over a period of construction and restoration of the fractured and damaged Empire. Yolanda even headed over the final ceremonies that saw the complete reconstruction of the Imperial City in the year 1389 N.E. Her sons reign (Giusecchio II) was of little note as it lasted only four years but the reign of Empress Julia I (1402-1462) would see the true cultural and technological rebirth of Khallayne that finally gave the Empire the courage to enter into the world for the first time in it's history. The reign of her Grandchild Giusecchio III (1462-1468) would see a level of religious persecution that hadn't been seen since Emperor Cameron V (The Butcher), in just six years he had wiped out all other religious institutions other than the Holy Order, the violence and international incidents caused by his stupidity drove his own guards to execute both him and his wife in their beds. The current Empress Diane I has shown a softer less violent side as she has instituted Religious Freedom and is planning more reforms to a decadent Court Culture and an Empire on the brink of great change.
