Cassandra Thonberger, a Mikitivity diplomat, is a Deputy UN Ambassador, currently serving under Howie Katzman. She often represents Mikitivity in draft proposal discussions or during resolution debates when Ambassador Katzman is occupied.


She was appointed to the Office of International Affairs on Nov. 1, 2005, after having served as the head legal council to the Council of Mayors. Prior to serving the Council of Mayors, she was a public defender in Miervatia City.


Biography

Born and rasied in Nolanburg, Thonberger moved to Miervatia City we she started college in 1985. Upon graduating from law school in 1991, she established a reputation as being a succesful public defender. It was when representing Andalaraxi Andalirjuŋīnni from Baranxtu, who was accused of armed robbery, that she met Howie Katzman. Katzman was working for the Office of International Affairs and was trying to secure the conditional release of Andalirjuggυnni upon the condition that he would be permanently deported from Mikitivity. Impressed with her work, Katzman offered Thonberger a job with the Office of International Affairs in 1996.

Education

Awared a B.A. from Miervatia University with honors in Political Science in 1985, she later attended the Connewitz School of Law. She is known to be fluent in English, French, German, and Chinese.

UN Activities

With the increasing participation in the UN, she has been called upon to represent Mikitivity on a more frequent basis. During the debate on the Freedom of Assembly resolution, Thonberger addressed the UN floor to talk about Mikitivity's history with terrorist groups such as the Aslan Faction, which was fighting for increased political freedom for Aslan canton in the 18th century.[1]
