Janica Rocca was the great female Starblaydi striker who never was. In the wake of Dasha Tolkacheva, it was hoped and expected that Janica would quickly step up to fill "Dash's" shoes. She had, after all, already scored in World Cup Finals, netting the second of a two-nil win against The Islands of Qutar in the Group Stage of World Cup 28. Janica, however, was usurped by Jacqueline Maitland who took the Number Ten shirt for World Cup 29, scored fifteen goals in the campaign and relegated Janica back to substitute. Janica's only World Cup 29 goal came in the Six-Nil thrashing of Spindomia, a match in which Maitland scored a record-equalling four.
'Dropped' to the AOCAF squad for it's sixteenth edition, Janica finally earned herself the Number Nine shirt and scored four goals but was again outshone by nineteen year-old Kaza Matranga, who scored five goals in the tournament and went on to be Starblaydia's third great female striker. Though back in the Starblaydia squad for World Cup 31, selected by Jaime Oberlander to bring some experience to the side, Janica was only able to net four times as Starblaydia exited at the quarter-finals.
Janica was one of the stalwarts of the Starblaydia women's national football team, appearing thirty-five times and scoring eleven goals, a record almost exactly equal to that of her appearances in the main national side.
