History

The Flag of Jey was designed by a native of the Jevian Protectorate of Crescent Islet, Loil Namoc, shortly after the Domz War. Upon the founding of the Allied Empire of Jey, Drew Domz was made Emperor and instituted the flag as the official flag of Jey in 4105.

Symbolism

The Jevian Flag contains much symbolic representation of Jey's history, mostly regarding the unification movements. Contained within the borders of the flag -- the "golden" borders the flag presents -- are, firstly, the four corners, used to represent the major regions of Aidel, Domz, Freta, and Zyzz. The red stripe, lined with silver, is positioned as to meet in the middle of the flag, as one. The triforces are used to represent the conjoining of two philosophies, though which pairs, are undetermined. Some hold that this is used to show the combining of the unification and anti-unification movements into the Allied Empire of Jey, while others hold it is to represent the combination of Capitalism and Socialism into Jevianism.

The most prominent feature of the flag, the Jevian Symbol, is used almost as commonly as the flag itself. Implementing 3 colors: Green, Light Blue, and Dark Blue, the colors represent the history of the unification of Jey. The first unification movement, resulting in the The Domz Empire is represented by the green in the symbol. The Grande Dissolvement, in which Domzian Lands became separated, is represented by the lighter blue, and the second unification movement, resulting in The Allied Empire of Jey, is represented by the darker blue.
