Overview

The Greater Kingdom of Midlonia is a large, prosperous island nation in The Federated Klatchian Coast, it is an inoffensive democracy situated in the Bay of Lunacy.

The Nation itself is a small Empire aside from the main land in the FKC there is a colony on Mars and The Western Colonies which are colonies/dependencies in the Haven region. The climates in Midlonia as a whole change dramatically, the warm seaside resort of Linton is vastly different to the icy cold Snowdon Mountain resorts. The barren, sandy atmosphere of Martian Midlonia is, incomparable to the lush, rich soil conditions of The Western Colonies.

Culture [warning, knowledge of British Accents needed beyond this point!]

The people of Midlonia tend to be easily distinguished by their accents in the various regions of Midlonia. Many city-dwellers speak with a Birmingham accent. [Example: Yee-owm al-right?] People who live out in the countryside talk with a Summerset [pronounced “Zumm-er-zet” in dialogue] accent in the southern portion of the nation, and a Yorkshire accent in the north. The third group, the Upper-class, talk with an almost stereotypical or neutral British accent.

Midlonian architecture tends to be mostly based from the Victorian era of British history, it is also typically frowned upon to build completely square or “unnecessarily” windowed buildings in Midlonia, and special planning permission has to be granted by the government in order for skyscrapers and various other “Modern” looking buildings to be built.

Many Midlonians insist on having very regular tea breaks, with all but essential services shutting down for 10 minutes every day at 11am and 4.50pm for a quick cup of tea, before work resumes.

A typical item found on many traveling Midlonians is a miniaturized tea set, complete with miniature self-heating kettle, and cups for up to four people.

Fashion

Midlonians choose to wear clothing similar to that seen in the UK in the 1950’s and 60’s alongside today’s latest fashions. A strange tolerance has built up for Midlonians in regards to fashion, an unusual thing to note considering the set ways of the architecture.
