Corporate Federal Conglomerate
The Corporate Federal Conglomerate or CoFedCo is, in theory, a loose democracy of corporations and geographic territories, though the political reality is closer to plutocracy. It's total territories encompass the entire continent of Santa Barbara and nearby islands and extending, in places, up to 300 kilometers offshore. Offworld holdings include large stretches of Noachia, Mars, and space colonies orbiting Mars, Earth and Luna.
Santa Barbara is noted for a huge military-industrial base, successful and numerous megacorporations, and a generally isolationist foreign policy. Economically, the CoFedCo claims absolute devotion to the free market, yet the government's actions under Abadas have been very protective toward it's trade interests.
