South Coast United is one of Bedistan's newer clubs.  It began playing professionally in 2055 when the Bedistan Premier League was expanded from seventy-six clubs to eighty-eight.  The twelve new clubs were distributed evenly among the four divisions, and South Coast was placed in the First Division.  A strong side from the very beginning, it has never been threatened with relegation from the top flight and has made a few title runs, including one notable second-place finish.  The club attained notoriety by winning the [[Bedistani Cup]] in 2075, enabling it to qualify for a [[Champions League]] slot.  United will play its thirteenth season in 2076.
