The Fossatious Lands of Thespesia, or simply Thespesia, is a small, coastal nation in the southern Democratic Union.
Aside from its original borders, it has control over approximately one third of the coastal peninsula directly south of it. This territory is split evenly with Compopund-Complex and Kolios. It also has Shared control of Land plot D with Eyygui and Compopund-Complex. It controld the southern half of it. Recently, a stretch of the nation's border with Tetris L-Shaped Block was converted into a neutral De-Militarized Zone as a result of a brief military skirmish.
History
Hundreds of years ago in the land known as lanplot W there were many small tribes living there, pretty much like a normal village but they were rivals. Because of this rivalry they refused to unite and become a strong Nation. They constantly lived in fear that the Fossa were going to come in and kill their children. One Day an outcast from every single tribe came into contact with many a Fossa. He saw how they lived. How they hunted. And primarily, what made them firce warriors. He then said that his people of the Great jungles of Thespesia would be united under the Pride of the Fossa. He would then go from tribe to tribe challenging their leaders. He went by the name Great Fossa. He killed off one tribal leader by one. Until at one point he was in control of every tribe in Thespesia. At this point he brought them all to the spot where he hd first witnessed the Fossa and their lifestyle(later would be the capitol city of GrandFossaHaven). He said "YOU, men and women, are all like lost fossa. I am the GRAND FOSSA hear me. We shall learn to live together as the Fossa do. May we have the pride that they do!" After three years of this the people had become equally fascinated with the Fossa and we extremely loyal to the fossa,Thespesia, and most of all the Grand Fossa. Thus the first naming for their state, Jingoistic States of Thespesia(the states being the different tribal areas.) When the Grand Fossa realized that their were fossa living in Milk-and-honey he was riveted with envy. he wanted to make sure the Fossa species was unique to Thespesia and only Thespesia. So he made a military alliance with Compopund-Complex and Kolios to make sure they completely overran milk-and-honey. After a relatively short war which was poorly fought by MH and his lone ally Abascalania(which did minimal damage only to my allies letting me control most of mh) we were victorious. When the Grand Fossa returned to GrandFossaHaven the Thespesian People went wild. After the war our economy sharply rose as well as health care. Our Fossatious Marker rose from a previous 40FS to the dollar to 4FS to the dollar. A while later Our peoples pride and joy, the Fossa, was horribly mocked by the idiotic republic of Xochipliacko. The Grand Fossa immediatley armed his forces and called all his allies (CC,Kolios,TGE,and Abascalania) to overrun the horrible mockery of a state.
The Thespesian State become dramitcally more economically stable after chosing to refrain from Conflicts within the DU. Although citizens arent given the right to choose right from wrong the government makes their decisions for the good of the people.
Culture
All of Thespesia's Culure Revolves around 3 things. 1st and foremost The Grand Fossa 2nd The Fossa themselves. 3rd The Fossatious Military,Airforce, and newly established Navy.
