Hall of Ex-Nations again

Goober, I replaced an edit by Fabusism2005 (the LOEL link, of course) with Hack's suggested text and reprotected the page. I'm too fuzzy right now to remember how to start banning procedures, or even to care whether we do. You unprotected the page with a statement (Rough consensus reached on talk page). Re: Upload

To be honest, I have no idea. I didn't even know that it didn't work usually. ;) I'm using Firefox, if that matters in any way. One thing I noticed is that it didn't generate a thumb for the image, so on my nation page the infobox shows up a broken image, though the link leads to the right picture. I think I know the problem with the thumbnails

Several times when accessing a page that should have displayed a thumbnail image, I have received an error message like this:

The "Safe Mode" mainly causes problems in automatically created files and folders. If I remember correctly, a folder you create manually can only be accessed by a manually uploaded script, and a folder created by a script can only by accessed by an automatically created script (via the "fwrite()" command for example).

Link spammer using open proxies

We appear to have been subject to continual link-spam attacks on pages in the 'NSwiki' namespace for a small period of time, coming from a user editng through open proxies. I have banned a bunch of these IPs and have protected several pages temporarily, perhaps we should consider more permanent actions to prevent open proxy link spammers, if it becomes more frequent. Just wondering if it were at all possible... Or if you would have to {delete} at the top, and create a new one. My NSwiki page is repeatedly vandalized, Admin's help needed!

Since my initial request for help wasn’t answered, I am sending request for help for whatever Admin is here to hear my pleas!

My nation’s (Dark Celene) NSwiki page is repeatedly vandalized by the other player (who controls the nation Malecki Clan and works from IPs: 83.26.23.117 and 83.26.37.37)! The details can be found in history of our nation’s NSwiki page (I have restored my page’s original contents for now).

While I are capable of easily restoring our page’s original contents, it is getting bothersome, and I ask you, Admins to do something about this. Since that user doesn’t contribute anything (his only “contributions” are vandalizing of our NSwiki page), the most logical way of dealing with this user seems to be blocking him from using NSwiki, but this is, of course, up to you do decide.

P.S. Among Malecki Clan’s recent offenses is claiming that we are a fascist nation; while I have never (and will never!) support Nazi movement. I view it as a serious offense.

P.P.S. This is generalized message that I will try to deliver to as many Admins as possible (since my intial request for help remained unanswered).

Later addition: Two more attempts of vandalization of my nation’s NSwiki page were made today, obviously by the same person (Malecki Clan), though from a slightly different IP: 83.26.15.52

I don’t know if Malecki Clan heeded the warning, or if you blocked the page from being edited by anonymous users, but it worked, and the vandalization attempts seemed to stop, hopefully, once and for all!

Possible Security Loophole

Hey again Goobergunch, it's good to be back on NSWiki but I'm afraid I think I've noticed a security hole which I have telegrammed your "Goobergunchia" nation about - I know this isn't standard practice, but I fear that posting the details on here would inadvertantly inform those who would abuse it of the loophole in question.

Please reply to this with a telegram to my nation "Ficticious Proportions" and not on my NSWiki talk page for this problem to avoid it being publicised and therefore potentially exploited.

If any other NSWiki bureaucrats or moderators reading this, want to be filled in on this so they can discuss it further and hopefully resolve it, by all means telegram me at Ficticious Proportions (FictPro is in the region A Slice of Surreality if it helps you find it, but sadly, neither have been wiki'ed yet).
