The Quaestor position was created in June of 2003, under the Cabinet Reorganization Act, proposed by [[Thomasia]]; however, different times have had the Quaestor with different powers and duties.  The Quaestor position was not one of the original cabinet positions under the first Charter, proposed by [[Marcus Isles]]; however, it has grown into one of the more powerful cabinet positions today.  Before the modern Ministry system, the Meritocracy ran via a Committee system.  The Intelligence Cmte. and State Cmte., which are now encompassed under the modern Quaestor's Ministry, were seperate committees, run by seperate people; however, the title Quaestor first began being used in reference to the person charing the Intelligence Cmte., which came to be know as the Meritocratic Intelligence Agency.
